Fire Commissioner write in candidate barred from speaking at local political forum

Recently last Thursday the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce put on a political forum featuring candidates from races in the local area.  Susie Weis a write in candidate had ask for some time to present her case in why she should be Fire Department Commissioner.  She was told because her opponent did not show it would not fair for her to mention her case for this position.  Was it due to time constraints.  They allowed Leah Hadfield another write-in candidate to speak of why she should be on the local city council.  Now isn't this local chamber support promote economic tourism of the local area.  Does areas outside of the Roslyn matter to Roslyn.  Why was a candidate for a local fire district not allowed to speak?  Isn't the name of the local chamber called Kittitas County Chamber not the Roslyn Chamber Chamber of Commerce.  I think the organizers owe Susie an apology.  When Roslyn firefighters are overwhelmed do firefighters from the local county fire district help out.  I believe they do.  Do county residents not matter to this chamber.  Do people in Ronald and Salmon La Sac not shop in Roslyn I believe they do.  I think people who are members of this chamber and this community where denied to ability who would let the future of Fire District 6.  This chamber did a disservice.  Roslyn is a community I love.  It is time this community's chamber show respect to its residents. 

Let's study brains of mass murderers now

It is enough these pieces of garbage cause mass murder.  Now we have to study there brains too.  Like this will prevent more mass shootings.  Only preparedness can do that and police training.  Did anyone take the brain of Israel Coward Keyes in December 2012 and preserve it.  Maybe we have a frozen brain from Ted Bundy.  Maybe in exchange of a life sentence the Green River Killer can have his brain donated to the UW School of Medicine when he dies.  Did the Newtown shooter have his brain donated if so here is the question I hope you do not use for Autism purpose.  That piece of garbage does not have any bearing on the autism community.  I will talk about that piece of crap in  how the media links autism to mass shootings in a future.  I will disprove that theory.  It was his lack in belief in god that led him there as well as the social service system of the state of Connecticut.  I will not let a disease be blamed that is totally innocent does not cause these things. Ethan's trolley comes in form of a Anchorage People Mover Bus

Ethan's trolley is the Anchorage People Mover Bus.  Some popular routes will be 15 minutes on weekdays.  Now people will be able to get from one place to another.  I went to an errand yesterday at a home improvement store on the same route.  It was less than 15 minutes another bus was available to meet me and I was able to get where I needed Downtown from East Anchorage in a timely manner.  Here in Anchorage the San Francisco treat is the Anchorage People Mover Bus. 

Anchorage People Mover has adopted a Spokane idea in bus system change over

Today, October 23rd, 2017.  Anchorage People Mover has launched a Spokane Transit idea in bus system change over.  They have renumbered all the routes.  Some places will receive less service than they do now.  Taxis will have more business in South Anchorage and Eagle River due to reduced service on the transit network.  Some areas will have service longer which will make it easier for people to work longer hours.  Here is the question how will having a bus every 15 minutes work on the afternoon and evenings some route like the new route 25 the old route 75 this is the longest route in the system.  You will see a future blog on this issue depending on how it works out.  Commuters enjoy your revised transit system. 

Tennants at Northway Mall have to close entrances to keep prices down

Major retailers like Carrs and Joann Fabrics have to close their mall entrances to discouraged shoplifting.  This is a public safety hazard in the winter time.  Mao Tosi the mall manager has tried to get these retailers to open the doors.  Northway Mall has even offered reduced rent for Anchorage Police Department for a substation to reduce theft they have refused there offer.

Until SB 91 is repealed these entrances will not be reopened.   Please call your legislature to repeal SB 91 to repeal this bill to get these entrances open. 

Insurance executives should not be taking taxpayers money for services

In order for the Unaffordable Care Act of 2010 to pass congress without major advertising from the insurance industry.  Barack Obama the genius got all the major insurance executives to the table in the White House in 2009.  For this to work hush money had to paid out to people in order to make sure the insurance industry was on board with the idea.  Recently Donald Trump through executive order cut off the subsidies this will allow this act to be repealed when the industry is not on the take.  Then we can concentrate on allow health insurance to be able by putting more competition into the industry. 

Message to United Nations please stop funding terrorist

Donald Trump recently told the United Nations Internal Monetary Fund quit funding the nations that sponsor terrorism like Iran, Syria and Yemen with loans.  Soon the United Nations will need to move their headquarters to Brussells because UN headquarters in New York will not shelter an agency who sponsors terrorism.  United Nations does not own the property in Manhattan where is located is on loan by the United States since 1945.
