Current North Bend Cafe owners keep the Twin Peaks Tradition alive at historic diner

It is great that Twede's Cafe owners Rachel Bennet and Mark Spears have decided to keep the Twin Peaks tradition at this historic diner which was built in 1941 at the SE Corner of North Bend Blvd aka SR 202 and North Bend Way.  

 

As everybody in my hometown of North Bend knows that Twin Peaks really help the tourist industry in the Upper Snoqualmie Valley in the early 1990's when the environmentalist ruined the logging industry for timber towns in Washington State.  In 1941 North Bend was starting to transition into a trucking town the complete transformation did not happen til about 1975.  Tourism is what save most logging towns in Washington State from becoming ghost towns in the 1990's.

This cafe started as Thompson's Cafe in 1941 then in the 1950's the name of the cafe was changed to the Mar T Cafe which became an iconic landmark of the rural town.  From 1990 to 1993 this place was known by the pretend name of the Double R Diner in the show Twin Peaks which only lasted one season on ABC in 1990 they did make a movie known as Fire Walk with Me which was before the actual show.  The current owners bought the diner in 2020 as Twede's Cafe which was rebuilt after a fire in 2000 and renamed.

 

This diner has been a stable of Snoqualmie Valley history since 1941 as a place for locals to gather and tell stories about their day.

DONALD TRUMP NEEDS TO DROPOUT OF GOP CONTEST ENDORSE SCOTT

 

Here is why Donald Trump needs to drop out of the GOP primary.  If you look at the GOP Primary schedule and the court schedule.  You can not have a nominee who may be running a campaign from a possible jail cell.  We need a nominee who is campaigning and rally not going from court to court.  Here is a link to the National GOP primary schedule https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/2024-state-primary-election-dates then you have the Trump court schedule which is developing which may get in the way of the primary schedule. 

If Biden versus Trump could give us President Harris or Cantwell.  I do not want Kamala Harris or Maria Cantwell as President.  The reason I put Maria Cantwell as a possibility because Harris has too many negatives and Cantwell would be a better choice for a Democrat successor due to Biden not being able to complete 2nd term.  Washington State just like Texas you can run for two offices at the same time. 

Tim Scott is a real conservative who actually energizes Americans who can win over Black America.  He has a story that will help country folk Americans.  

 

Plus he could actually help Tim Scott be at the top of the ticket as campaigner in chief.  

 

America was great under Trump and it can be great under Tim Scott.  Unlike Barack Obama who by the way was 50% percent white.  Tim is 100% black remember is the GOP that freed the slaves and Democrats that put them in the plantations.  They also created the KKK.   Tim Scott is a common sense guy.  Vote for common sense.  America wants you as a cheer leader not the nominee.  Put Scott against Biden he wins. 

Suzanne LaFrance is the only person not qualified to be mayor of Anchorage

 The only person not qualified to be mayor is Suzanne LaFrance if she is elected it would put the assembly in charge of both the 8th floor and the 1st floor.  Remember it was Ethan Berkowitz that created this lawlessness by not dealing with it when the Assembly was in his favor.  Dave Bronson has attempted to deal with the problem and this body has refused to deal with it.  They created this crisis by not dealing with the lawlessness crisis which is being disguised as the homeless crisis. 

Hey public schools how about work study while attending school

 

Imagine if retailers or business hired high school children between 16 and 18 and had them work the last two hours of the school day.  They would need to maintain a C average through their school academics.  You could hire them at the beginning wage they would also get a two hour head start in their workday.  Then they work another 4 to 6 hours that day at the same business.  Then after high school they would have a chance to advance in that business.  The business gets a work and the economy benefits with a person contributing to society. 

Environmentalist use lies to attempt to kill a SE Alaska economy

 Environmentalist are continuing to use the court to prevent a region from being able to have an economy.  Recently a judge refuse to listen to common sense and shut down an economy very vital to SE Alaska.  It is time you rule with common sense and stop listening to the environmentalist who believe Alaska is a national park. 

People who will run against the people of Washington

 Top three Democratic candidates who could possibly run for Washington's top job as Governor

Bob Ferguson

He is the top choice with Washington State Democrats.  Plus the Attorney General is always a stopping ground to winning higher office.  Slade Gorton was the Attorney General before being elected to US Senate in 1980 by defeating Warren who served in the US Senate from World War II.  Chris Gregoire served three terms before being elected governor in 2004.  If he is elected Governor he will continue to pursue policies against the people of Washington like gun bans, illegal immigrant sanctuary and making Spokane the soon to be battleground for abortion and transgendered child surgeries.  

Hilary Franz

During her time as current Washington State Public Lands Commissioner.  She is main reason in the past six years.  Washington has had the highest wildfire seasons on record.  Refusing to allow Washington to manage its forest areas this is why the state has had more wildfires in rural Eastern Washington in the past six years due to her no logging policy on state lands.  She as governor would make it impossible for common sense ideas in the Governors mansion.  

Then there is a Democrat alternative known as Mark Mullet 

He is one my currently hometown state senators who represents my hometown of Snoqualmie and North Bend south of I-90.  He represents a more conservative part of King County could win some of Eastern Washington away.  

Just remember since 2008 when the US Supreme Court make the top two primary system legal in the state of Washington.  Who ever the top two candidates in the primary are will advance to the general election. 

Washington State GOP has a chance to take over statewide offices in 2024

 Washington State GOP with the vacancy of statewide office.  The GOP has a chance to take over some statewide.  The last office that had a Republican office holder was Kim Wyman who took a job in the Biden administration.  This office has stayed Republican since 1965 was recently converted to Democrat in 2022.  I believe if the Washington State GOP could find the right candidates they can flip these offices.  I predict the Attorney General's office will also be vacant since Fergie will probably run for Governor.  Other statewide offices could also be vacant due to this decision.
