Why is Anchorage Municipality waisting money paying rent on this building?
Anchorage Municipality owns many building throughout town and the main administration building they pay rent on. Let's move all of the administration out of this building spreading to building that the Municipality of Anchorage owns that way we are not throwing away taxpayers money on rent. Please tell your mayor and Anchorage Assembly you do not want to pay rent on an administration building.
Let's get a movie theater in Downtown Anchorage
Hey Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, Anchorage Downtown Partnership. Let's provide a tax credit to any one that wants to renovate the 4th Avenue Theater in Downtown. Maybe if we could get Regal Cinemas or Cinemark to buy or lease the building. You know ten years ago Regal Cinemas put a movie house at Riverpark Square in Spokane and it looks great.
Twenty five years ago Friday I met this awesome woman in a Cle Elum High School cafeteria
Twenty five years ago on October 24, 1989 the greatest friendship was created in a Cle Elum-Roslyn High School cafeteria between Frances Virginia Cook Ryan and myself. It started with a lecture since I was the new kid on the block. The upper picture was a picture she gave of her at 15 years of age and a picture of us two in Spokane back in 2008 in front of Rocky Rocco's. We have not always agrees on issues but we have manage to stay strong for more than 25 years. This friendship goes all the way from Alaska to Scotland. We had always support each other ventures and opinions even if we do not agree with each other opinions. We both have been successful in our social media careers with our sites. Her Just Frances is more personally where my mostly political does report on stories that are a concern to me. We both are successful writer who one day will take time to publish a book when get out of our busy lives. Maybe we have to write it together to do it. Imagine Green Teenage Barista Crime Fighter having a Scottish accent me neither. They do not even know how to brew coffee over there they probably spit on our Starbucks.
A lot of people testified in the Uber debate at the Tuesday October 21st at the Anchorage Assembly
Many people testified on Tuesday October 21st in the Uber debate at the Anchorage Assembly. Most of the people testifying where greedy say if Uber comes in they need to be compensated for their permits. They are lying to the Anchorage Assembly saying Uber is not safe when they are.
The only people that testified that had logic in the room was Andrew Halcro, Bethany Markum, ,Lynette Moreno-Hinz, Uber drivers, David O'Malley, Uber executives and myself who feel competition makes a better cab industry.
Most of the cab drivers members of the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association told lies to the Anchorage Assembly this includes dispatch owners of Alaska Yellow Dispatch and Anchorage Checker Cab which are also technology providers. They were mentioning Uber cabs were not safe when they are they just need to be marked. They also said their permits were property then the public wants evidence that property tax was paid if not then they actually worth nothing. Municipality of Anchorage deceived every permit owner into thinking they are worth thousands of dollars when they are not. When Spokane's Title 10 was cemented into law the taxi cab permit owners were not compensated they could not prove to the Spokane City Council in 1980 that property tax was paid. These permits belong to the Municipality of Anchorage not the permit owners.
You can on this ordinance on Tuesday, November 18th remember we must tell the Anchorage Assembly that competition is necessary.

Tragedy at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington State
Yesterday, October 24, 2014 a mentally disturbed freshman boy went into the Marysville-Pilchuck High School went into the cafeteria during the lunch period around 10:49 PDT and shot himself his ex girl friend, a few of his female friends and his friend. This Freshman homecoming king had just been selected homecoming king two weeks prior he could not get over a break of a relationship with a girl. Their probably was not any guidance from the high school on this issue. He also was suspended for behavioral issues a week ago from school. This also involves a Tuliap tribal member. Question is where was his family, the tribe and school on this. Was suspending him from school the right decision? What was his punishment that warranted Out of School suspension? Maybe Washington State Education Association is to blame for this shooting since they do not believe in the student only as a stat on paper. We need to pray for the shooters family and the victims of this tragedy. This is not the first school shooting in Washington State back in 1996 Barry Loukaitis went into Frontier Middle School in Moses Lake and killed his algebra teacher. He is currently serving a life sentence at Walla Walla prison. Currently Providence Medical Center in Everett reports 3 out of 4 victims have serious head injuries. Tune into KIRO FM and any local Seattle station for continuing coverage of this tragedy.

We need a Hard Rock Cafe in Spokane
Spokane has many Hard Rock and Roll fans this kind of cafe would do well in Spokane. Many places in Downtown Spokane where this place could go. You could even have a stage have local groups perform that would be a plus. Spokane has many Hard Rock and Roll fans. Spokane is the center of commerce for residence in North Idaho, Eastern Washington even up into Alberta and British Columbia including Eastern Oregon. Hard Rock Cafe or someone who wants to put this type of restaurant consider Spokane your business will do well here.
Alaska McDonald's want to keep employees start them at $10 an hour
Alaska McDonald's recently I saw this bulletin on at your restaurant near Totem Theater in East Anchorage. I notice you are paying people $9 an hour to start. Just to let you know if you want to keep the employee beyond 90 days you need to actually start them at $10 an hour. Soon if Alaska approves Alaska Proposition Three starting in 2016 the Alaska Minimum Wage will be at $9.75 an hour then will increase due to inflation. The Alaska retaining wage is at $11 an hour. The average that an Alaska cab driver makes is about $9 an hour this has been unchanged in 10 years. Please consider starting your workers at $10 an hour so you can retain your workers and give your current workers a $1 raise they deserve it.

Anchorage Chamber and Anchorage Assembly why can not have a notable cab and rideshare stand
Hey Andrew Halcro on October 19, 2014 when I was on my way to Les Miserables to see an a great show I noticed a big stop for shuttle bus where is a similar sign for taxicabs and rideshares aka known as technology providers. Since we have three technology providers in Anchorage they are Alaska Yellow Dispatch, Anchorage Checker Cab and Uber Alaska. For years the cab/rideshare/technology provider community has asked for a spot to park. Where is it Andrew Halcro? The shuttle bus and trolleys have one. What about the Taxi/rideshare/technology provider community. They have been asking for a spot to park for years.

Working America and Organization for Action are Democrat leaning political organizations
Working America and Organization for Action are Democrat leaning organizations that promote higher prices of American goods. They also want higher taxes they are spread lies about American cultures and values. Each of these organizations has 50 chapter one for each state. They claim to be non partisan they are not. They also believe we should rely on importing our oil instead of drilling it when Alaska has enough where we can be self sufficient. Developing Pebble Mine while better America and not endanger any fish at all in Bristol Bay. Organization for Action is a group that was started in 2007 to promote Barack Obama. Working America was started by the AFL-CIO to promote a $15 minimum wage crazy thing is only Seattle Communist Council has bought this scheme. Higher unemployment is coming to the region shortly.

Please dismiss this lawsuit and fine this family for wasting the court time with a needless lawsuit.

Prediction Dance Moms will have a spin off series staring Chloe, Brooke and Paige
Dance Moms which started on Lifetime in 2011 has created many spin off series some with success and some with failures. Their spin offs include Abby Lee Ultimate Dance Competition, Dance Moms Miami, Raising Asia and Abby's Studio Rescue. Now you can add a new spin off series starring Chloe, Brooke and Paige. Christi and Chloe will not return for Dance Moms for Season Five. I do not know what the show name will be may not be headquartered in Pittsburgh instead it my be headquartered in the Big Apple. Brooke will have a talented signing career. Paige and Chloe will have many duets together with Paige and perform in pageants within New York and Pennsylvania. I also think that Chloe may also want to continue her talent with the Hyland sisters in a pop star group. Both Kelly and Christi are very capable of managing their daughters careers without Abby Lee Miller. They would be better if Abby was out of their lives.
Paige Hyland was not harmed in alleged chair throwing incident

Is it time that Parents take charge of the classroom stop the genderless stereotypes
It seems that the Education Associations continue to control the content of the classroom. Classroom teaching is suppose an environment to help children this was what I experience as a student in the Snoqualmie Valley School District. In 2010 the Obama Administration with the help of the National Education has come up with Common Core. My granddad Marion's spirit would be mad if he had to teach this crap in school. He was force to retire in 1981 when he got mad at a student at the end of the school year. The truth is the student was being a smart aleck. The high school principal and superintendent offered him a deal take the retirement package or be fired for his actions during the 1981 school year at Mt Si High School. Now according a local Alaska television station report about a middle school in Lincoln, Nebraska do not call the students by their gender lets call them subject. In Fairfax County, Virginia they are no longer teacher gender learning in 7th to Senior High School. They are also recognizing gender identity. What is wrong is calling a child Mr or Ms or girl or boy. I guess what is between their legs does not mean anything now days. Let's just call them subjects or as the education association would like you call them lab rats.
Here is a picture of a Tri Cities Washington area 5th grade class from Frost Elementary are these students lab rats or do they have their own personalities. Teachers and Parents need to rise us and take control of the classroom kick out the teachers association.

Anchorage Cab companies by Uber Alaska definition are not taxis they are also technology providers
Here is a picture I took in 2006 of Alaska Yellow Cab no 88 turn on to Gambell from E 15th Ave.
Uber Alaska's argument is that it is a technology provider not a cab service even though they offer rides to people for income. Using Uber Alaska definition then Alaska Yellow Cab and Anchorage Checker Cab are also technology providers since they receive their trip through their terminals for their fares. They also pick up flags at locations. Remember these cabs are considered a technology providers as well. We have three major technology providers they are Alaska Yellow Dispatch, Anchorage Checker Dispatch and Uber Alaska.

Goodwill came to Alaska over the summer will soon have a store in Alaska
This summer in 2014 Goodwill arrived an established an office in May 2014 at the SW Corner of W 6th Ave and C St in Anchorage. They can help people get good paying jobs they are looking for some place to build a warehouse or occupy some warehouse in the Anchorage area to build a Goodwill Industries in Anchorage. If you have a warehouse building in the Anchorage bowl want to offer a reasonable rate to welcome Goodwill Industries to Alaska. By the way if you have ever been to the Pacific Northwest they have locations on E 3rd Avenue and S Pine St in Downtown Spokane and they started over 40 years ago at 1400 S Lane St in Seattle until they built that Interstate 90 overpass in the 1990's I remember growing up driving to this store and seeing this store nearby from my hometown in Snoqualmie Valley. My Mother and I would shop there growing up got good deals. These guys are similar to the Salvation Army who will not do what Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association did to Uber Alaska by buying municipal regulators. Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries and Value Village actually help provide services to their communities they serve. Alaska we welcome Goodwill Industries.

Uber Alaska will admit a few things if it wants to practice here
Uber Alaska will admit a few things if it wants to operate in Anchorage. This company will admit it is a taxi service they will be marked and will have cameras in its vehicles. So that when a driver drives crazy they can call the local office and complain like taxi. Uber Alaska is a taxi service and a ride share. You want to operate here you play Alaska's way not your way you bully. Alaska has always had a tradition you do it our way or get the hell out. The reason the cameras are needed in the cab or ride share is to insure customer and cab driver safety period. Safety is number as a first born son of a Washington State volunteer firefighter from Kittitas County. Safety is number one reason. Cameras are not big brother. Marked cars. We have term for people in this industry who do not follow the rules. They are Gypsys. You want to be a Gypsy or a friend. We hate Gypsys.
Reclassify all Anchorage Taxicab Permits as Vehicle for hires
It seems that a special interest group known as the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Association with its mouthpiece named Jim Brennan has been able corrupt current Anchorage Transportation Inspector Eric Musser and members of current Anchorage Transportation Commission to prevent common sense thinking the Anchorage Vehicle for hire. Too long Anchorage permits are overvalued and have not been within reach of common Anchorage cab driver in violation of the American business dream which many Americans who could take the risk to own a business can do. My father in Cle Elum once owned a small business treated every customer honestly and equally. This favoring the taxi industry over other vehicle for hire permits has put a overvalue on this permit. Less reclassify all Anchorage Taxi Cab Permits as permits equal to other vehicle for hire have an even and competitive taxi industry which has worked in Spokane can work in Anchorage.
Overhaul in Anchorage Transportation Operations first step eliminate bureaucracy
Last year in 2013 the Anchorage Assembly past the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owner Association version of lousy taxi service ordinance called Anchorage Ordinance 2013-109 with a 11-1 vote with three votes in slight favor. Since this ordinance has been enacted two of those positions have not been filled the current mayor is more interest in want to be Lt Gov instead of doing his mayoral duties except to get a beer at the bar then say hi to staff about once a month kind of like the previous mayor current US Senator Mark Begich while having entertain bistros with every municipal union who to foot the taxpayers with the bill we are still paying for today for the top heavy union contracts against the cities voters and taxpayers who pay them. That is why Anchorage need to vote Yes on Anchorage Proposition to show who is in charge.
First thing we need to do eliminate the transportation inspector position replace it with a supervisor from the Anchorage Police Department with 4-8 officers who report to the supervisor has the ability to arrest vehicle for hire drivers who break criminal law and issue civil citations which require a once a month appearance in front of the Anchorage Transportation Commission which the participant may bring legal representation if they wish. The charges from the Anchorage Police Department civil infraction will be laid out. Driver will get to his time to explain his action if he admits he was wrong the commission can issue a penalty or dismiss citation if they felt the citation is not warranted or recommend it go to the City hearing examiner for additional recommendation.
Suggestion 2 replace municipal vehicle for hire examination with a certified mechanics throughout Anchorage which must have a state or industry certification at a B rating or better with the state better business bureau and good standing with Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
Suggestion 3-Driver training will be the responsibility of the vehicle for hire driver and classes will be established by the vehicle for hire industry not by municipal standards and policies saving over half of million dollars in cost to the Anchorage taxpayers. Allow industry to decide this not a government
Suggestion 4-Eliminate all transportation inspection department clerks all vehicle for hire files can be done by current Anchorage Police Department file clerks who are municipal employees. Savings to taxpayer about 70,000 dollars.
Suggestion Five-Give more power to actual citizens by having the Anchorage Transportation Commission meet twice a month. One meeting can deal with civil citations the Anchorage Police Department through it Vehicle for Hire Enforcement division and second meeting can deal with suggestions and policy to deal with the Vehicle for hire industry rules and regulation the policy meeting would be open to the public the civil citation meeting would be by invitation only kind of like an executive session.
Suggestion Six-Make all permits under the vehicle for hire including taxi cab permits under an administrative fee end all public auctions of taxicab permits immediately since all taxicab permits belong to the municipality not the permit owner this bring Anchorage in lines with Spokane which has been doing this since 1980 under their title 10 which awesome success. Spokane and Anchorage are the same size in population.
Please support Anchorage Ordinance 2014-127 written by Dick Traini which will actually bring a balance to the vehicle for hire industry.

Anchorage Assembly on November 18th meeting need to issue a 90 day repreive for Uber Alaska to allow it to prove itself
Anchorage public is asking the Anchorage Assembly to issue a stay against recent action taking by a special interest bought and paid inspector named Eric Musser who has decided to listen to only the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Association instead of the people of Anchorage who actually pay his salary. Allow Uber Alaska to prove itself to Anchorage customers like other taxi outfits in this are currently done. If Uber Alaska does not perform to expect in relation to the stay then they must exit town in a matter that allow for taxi cab permit competition to take place. Anchorage will not go back to the current status of keep the public screwed in Anchorage cab service which has happened since Anchorage City occupied the borough in 1974.
