The reason KTVA reporter Charlo Greene had decided to quit her job as reporter
The reason that Anchorage KTVA reporter Charlo Greene quit her job as a reporter. She wanted to focus more time on Alaska proposition 2 campaign to allow people to smoke recreational marijuana legally she is the CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club. She felt for her job as a reporter for KTVA was getting into the way of her beliefs and she could concentrate on being unbiased as a journalist and a reporter for this awesome quality CBS station in Alaska. Her tactic in my opinion was not the best approach in case she wanted to get back into journalism again. The only journalism available to get paid would be through usually a weekly entertainment publication like the Anchorage Press that is available for free then she could work a daily newspaper and possibility a radio station reporter however she could do the newspaper position in Anchorage due to being in the same building as KTVA. As for broadcast journalism she can forgot it because her last day how she left would not impress a future employer in this industry. What Charlo should have done was to write a letter of resignation to the news director of KTVA stating due to her other activities and her beliefs she could no longer report on stories of this nature and remain neutral while reporting the story. This blog does support her idea and her quest for recreational marijuana throughout the United States plus it has worked well so far in Washington and Colorado. Even though it is in the baby stage and Washington State you still have to navigate loopholes to sell cannabis legally. Most states that have this proposal on the ballot and have passed will only allow you have an ounce within a weeks period of time. They also require every person to be on a statewide registry so they can sell for than ounce by state law. This way they can go from store to store and get more cannabis. Please support Alaska ballot Measure Two decriminalize recreational marijuana.
Kudos for KTVA's swift action in the termination of employment of Charlo Greene
Last night Sunday, September 21st, 2014 Alaskans had an additional feature in their 10pm newscast that was the normal quality of KTVA. KTVA also owned by Denali Media has taken very swift action and terminated the employment of Charlo Greene here is the backside story she is the chair of the Alaska Cannabis Club. Bert Rudman the news director quickly apologized on their Facebook page and the anchor apologized right after the action happened. Let's hope Alaska's ballot measure passes so Charlo can stay in Alaska if ballot measure fails she has enough raise for a one way flight on Alaska or Frontier Airlines to Washington or Colorado including a couple of months of expenses according to her site to help her obtain her fortune in cannabis opportunities. We here at Personal Stories and Opinions of a Swenson Family member wish her all the luck in this economic endeavor.
Anchorage's KTVA reporter Charlo Greene says "FUCK IT I QUIT ON THE AIR"
Alaskans got an additional value in the weekend KTVA newscast on Sunday when reporter Charlo Greene while introducing a local Alaska ballot measure 2 story during the 10pm newscast on September 21st. She said "FUCK IT I QUIT ON THE AIR" This video has already circled the rounds on You Tube from the Alaska Dispatch News You Tube channel and I found out from Alaska's top radio host Rick Rydell Facebook page and I forwarded this video to shock jocks in Seattle, Spokane and a talk radio host in San Diego who once worked at KPAM in Portland. I also forwarded it to a talk radio friend of mine at KIRO 97.3FM. I hope this lady has a one way ticket to Seattle or Denver on Alaska or Frontier Airlines and she has six weeks worth of extra income because the Alaska Employment Security Investigators will have video when she files a claim. It kind of reminds me of a movie ten years ago called Anchorman with Ron Burgandy where Will Ferrell says "FUCK YOU SAN DIEGO"
Will Ferrell was paid millions of dollars for this gaffe in a comedy. It also turns out she is the chair of Alaska Cannabis Club. As a reporter there is kind of a code of ethics you do not get involved the story you are covering. This lady better hope her career as a cannabis sales lady makes her a fortune because her career as broadcast journalist just got flushed down the toilet. I hope you enjoy Seattle, Spokane, Denver, Colorado Springs and Grand Junction because those will be the only places you will be working for a while if the marijuana ballot question does not pass here.
