We need to overcome the establishment and well known name recognition of Jennifer Johnston who has represented this area in politics since 2007 since she has been on the Anchorage Assembly. Alaska Democrats have entered their own candidate in the Alaska State Senate Republican Primary for Senate District M for Abbott Loop and Anchorage Hillside. His name is Ray Metcalfe who has been a party member since 2008 supported Berkowitz twice. He also supports Alaska's Fair Share which ask oil companies to leave. He also supports recalling Governor Mike Dunleavy. In 1998 he even create a political party called the Republican Moderate to make fun of Republicans. If you choose him kiss your PFD good bye. He is to the left of Josh Revak. The Democrats do have a candidate running since they can not win on their own they decided to win this way. He also supported Bill Walker and Mark Begich.
