Spokane would be the perfect place for the Oakland Raiders to move to
Hey Oakland Raiders time to ask the Washington Redskins if you can do a name swap then have meetings with the Spokane Chamber of Commerce. Spokane has been known as a sports town and is about the same size as Pittsburgh in its city limits. It is larger than Green Bay which of course borrows from Milwaukee to justify a sports franchise in the city. It is the same size as Salt Lake City it has an NBA team. Washington State is the only progressive state without an income tax. Spokane area fans would stretch into Canada, Idaho and Montana. Joe Albi Stadium the perfect place for an NFL team. Oakland Raiders would need to change their name to the Spokane Redskins which would be an AFC West team you image when NFC West team the Seattle Seahawks play these guys you could have the Battle of Washington State. Spokane is most friendliest place to have the name Redskins. If someone demonstrates against the name they will be met with a fan with a gun same go home you idiot.
Time for Redskins and the Raiders to swap names
Since we have a name problem with the Washington Redskins let solve this since the Oakland Raiders can not get local financing and the San Francisco 49ers do not want to share their stadium with their AFC neighbor. Moving the team south will not help matter considering that the Los Angeles area would not help with a stadium unless they want to share it with the Lakers. San Antonio is not a great climate for an AFC team. Let's move the name the Raiders to DC. They can become the Washington Raiders an NFC East team then we move the Oakland Raiders north to Portland or Spokane or Anchorage. Spokane Redskins would be a perfect place for an NFL team with a perfect name. Spokane will embrace and tell any biggots to leave. If this team chooses Anchorage they would have to change it to the Anchorage Braves the Redskins name could cause a problem their with the local Alaskan native culture they could also become the Alaska Nanooks. Green Bay will not have the coldest stadium anymore that is for sure.
By 2016 Recreational marijuana will be available in Alaska, Oregon and DC
Recently voters in Alaska, Oregon and DC have approved the use of recreational marijuana. Does this means that the federal building will smell of Mary Jane which I think some congressional senate and white house offices do anyways. I believe the states that are next are going to be Nevada, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Even the NFL has relaxed the usage of marijuana with their players as long they do not do it during season. NW stoner nation will soon go as far north as Barrow, Alaska to as far south as Medford, Oregon. I guess as long you have twelve ounces it is legal in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Colorado and DC. Smoke up and enjoy your freedom. Alaska's law is more like Washington's where each community will have the ability to decide if they want marijuana retailers in their jurisdictions. Oregon's will be more like Colorado's where it is a free for all with no restrictions. Alaska also added a provision if the tribal council or elders decide to allow the practice they can. This is a native Alaskan village which has no city government governing the village.
Anchorage Taxicab Permits are not considered property
Jim Brennan who on Friday, November 14th, 2014 wrote an opinion piece which had no truth to back up his claims. First of all in order for taxicab permits to be property. Each permit must pay property tax. Since they do not this throw this idea out the window. This idea was already tried in 1980 in Spokane with no success I might add. Spokane City Council passed title 10 which cab drivers have been able to be owners of a permit. He represents at a very discounted rate since he was a failed city attorney during the Mark Begich administration the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owner association. These permits are actually worth nothing they are over inflated. They lied in 2008 saying Uber is unsafe. That is not true and they do not want competition. They want to keep the quality of taxicab service in Anchorage. Anchorage customers have been waiting since 2001 for quality cab service. Is thirteen years long enough to wait. We have three bills currently in the Anchorage Assembly waiting for the Assembly to vote on. The mayor supports free enterprise and need to remove the unlawful cease and desist order that was unjustly done. He knocked on the door of Eric Musser after he corrupted him to do a cease and desist order. He was lucky the mayor was too busy wanting to be Lt Governor too take notice here. Jim if you believe each taxicab permit has value then provide a municipal property tax bill to prove it. Make your permit holders pay $1500 a year for each year the municipality they have owned the permit. Remember also most operator do not own their permits. Uber Alaska provides competition. Please admit that your permit have no value or show a municipal property tax bill.
