Unemployment was created during the Great Depression in the middle 1930's as a temporary assistance between jobs mostly due to manufacturing, timber and industrial jobs during a slow down when workers were not working.  Since 2007 you could request an additional 99 weeks of unemployment.  Most people are simply not taking the first job given and are using unemployment like public assistance.  That is not what unemployment was meant to be.  Democrats want to keep this program.  I think with the elimination of the additional 99 weeks you will have more people working.  The economy will do better.  The other is role back the regulations that prevent the economy from moving

Seattle has chosen to elect the elite to their mayor and city council

Recently voters in Seattle have chosen to make their city more unlivable for the common people.  With the recent election of Sawant who wants less jobs in Seattle by making the minimum wage more than $15 an hour.  Recently the mayor Ed Murray who also support this idea want to make statewide in the state legislature.  Sounds like jobs will soon be moving to another city shortly. 

Anchorage Transportation Commission may put a new daily and nightly lease rate for drivers

If the permit owners decide to raise the rate too high for most drivers then the Anchorage Transportation Commission is talking about about capping the daily lease rate to no more than $100 for day drivers and $90 for night drivers.  This will allow drivers to keep more money in their pockets to feed their families.  If you are a driver and want the daily lease rate capped attend the January 27th and February 24th meeting of the Anchorage Transportation Commission to voice your support for daily lease rate cap.

Anchorage Public starting in April 2014 will have safer cabs

Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 Ten smart members of the Anchorage Assembly voted to approve Ordinance 2013-109.  Customers will no longer be allowed to sit in the front seat even at the drivers request.  Dispatch companies will have to have to make all their files available to the transportation inspector.  Handicapped, Eagle River and Chugiak customers will have to served in a timely manner.  Drivers will no longer get to choose their trips and dispatch companies must dispatch all trips except for the airport.  The trip will go to the closest cab available not who in the zone first.  This will make sure the closest cab always get the closest trip. 

Fast Food Workers and Walmart workers need to show talent worth making $15 an hour

Many fast food workers who work full time have complained about low wages.  Most major fast food restaurants have offered health insurance, 401k plan and other benefits that when I was a fast food worker in the late 1980's and early 1990's I did not have these benefits working at McDonald's in Kodiak and Jack in the Box in Spokane.  Most Walmart workers part or full time have health, 401k benefits which twenty years ago never had.  You need to humble accept the pay you have.  You want a higher wage earn it do not demand it by creating higher unemployment for your area or to lose your job due to higher wage they can not afford you.  Please if you want a higher wage earn it or prove you deserve.  Demanding it makes it so you have no job.

Americans are asking you do a stop payment on a presidential, congressional and US senatorial pensions

When the United States of America was founded by people who were freedom fighters.  They were common folk.  Now days they have careers then get pensions.  We need to create several constitutional amendments.  One to repeal the 16th amendment which if you talk to the Ron Paul bots.  This amendment was never ratified this needs to be replaced with a flat tax or a consumption tax.  Then you have that 27th amendment which allows congressman to get paid during a government shutdown.  Why do we have a shutdown.  This could have avoided if the Unaffordable Care Act was ruled unconstitutional.  This is a tax the Supreme Court said so.  Let's create an initiative and referendum process.  Every four years citizens with a minimum of four million signature like the state of Alaska must have 20 percent of each state's registered voters to qualify.  You have additional cabinet position called the Secretary of Domestic Affairs this would ratify citizen petitions.  Then put term limits many municipal government do this and we do our president, now time for congress and senators.  We also need to stop funding the pensions of any federal lawmaker.  You serve your country unless you were a federal employee before you became a lawmaker you get no pension.  No pension, No retirement and no presidential library.  I am not paying for the Barack Obama presidential golf course library on the lakefront of Lake Michigan within Chicago city limits.  If the taxpayers of Chicago want this they can pay for it themselves.  Each presidential library can be paid for by the families that have these president not my tax dollars.  Our first lawmakers had no pension.  Remember Thomas Jefferson started the Modern Library of Congress in 1815 when he donated his personal collection before that it was just for lawmakers only.  Each president til 1969 served there time with no pension back to their lives.  Lyndon Baines Johnson was the first president to serve under a pension many congressman have been doing it for years before the presidents did.  We need to get back to the basics our country was founded in 1787.  Just the basic no gravy allowed unless it is on my plate thanks. 

There are reasons that Sams Club and Walmart are at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to customers

Most people who decide they want to shop at a place it is the service they receive.  Walmart and Sams Club believe that you have a one size fit all approach.  Yes they do help find missing children but other than that.  You walk into any Sams Club, Walmart and Walmart Super center all built the same.  They do allow RV's to park for free.  Customer Service really stinks.  There neighbor Fred Meyer on the East Side is no better at this.  I have made more complaints over the years to that store customer service than anywhere else in Anchorage.  For Sams Club you would figure since members are paying to shop.  You would have a little courtesy.  I would recommend you head over to Lowes take some customer service cues.  When we are closed we nicely say we are closed at the entrance.  We do not yell it out to the customer in a rude fashion. Make sure that you also staff your people so when there is a rush you help the customers.  We at Lowes when the cashiers need help they help the people.  Walmart be like Lowes and help the customers please.  I may cancel my membership from your Sams Club we shall see. 

All of the nations museums need to sold to private non profit foundations

When the government has no budget like on Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 national monuments are closed.  Let's sell these national monuments to non profit charities like the World War II memorial, Smithsonian and Washington Monuments.  Major non profit veterans groups could purchase or operate monuments instead of the United States Government.  We could pay off some debt to fund other essential areas of the government like our troops.

We need to repeal the 27th amendment of the United States Constitution

One of the main jobs of congress, President is come up with a budget.  We need to not pay lawmakers for not doing their job.  We need to pay lawmakers like they do in Iowa at the end of the session.  No budget no pay.  Please tell your congressman, US Senator no budget no pay.  Kudos to Ted Cruz, Mike Enzi, Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Suzan Delbene for donating their pay others need to do the same. 

Spokane baristas the community has a message for you cover up or go find another job

Spokane Baristas unless your drive thru coffee stand is next to a strip club you need to cover up because family and small children by your stand they do not want to see your cleavage or sex symbols.  You do not need to show your cleavage to sell coffee.  If you can not sell coffee with good customer service and great smile then find another job.  Now if you do not want to cover up many strip clubs will gladly hire you. 

We have an ordinance that everyone can get on board here in Anchorage to make taxis and dispatch accountable

Recently on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 Dick Triani released in a public safety committee meeting an ordinance that will provide better quality for taxis and serve the Anchorage Public better.  Ordinance 2013-109 which the author of this blog Mark Kim Marion made a major contribution former Alaska Yellow Cab dispatcher.  This December 3, 2013 this was passed by the Anchorage Assembly.  It defines a taxi cab.  It will require annual survey of whether they need to be more cabs.  This will be conducted by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.  Keeps the Anchorage Transportation Commission oversight necessary for the Anchorage taxi industry to succeed.  There will be more cabs each year.  If the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce tourist are up 20 percent then 20 new permits are needed.  if tourism is down or not an increase no new permits will be needed.  Growth will continue.  Eagle River will representation on commission and the handicap will have a representative.  One of the commissioners must live in the Chugiak and Eagle River area.  Read Spokane Title 10 Section 34 most of the ordinance is in the ordinance.  Customers must ride in the back seat.  Drivers can not communicate on a cell phone unless to dispatch or to emergency authorities when a customer is in the car.  All trips except for Anchorage Airport must be dispatched.  Driver can not refuse a trip unless the customer is a problem to the driver.  Dispatch must document all problems drivers and customers have.  Transportation Inspection must be able to dial into dispatch computer to verify every thing the dispatch has been documented.  Dispatch must dispatch closest cab that fits the criteria of the customer.  Cab driver must carry an infant, toddler and baby seats in the car not an option.  Drivers may only refuse a customer if customer gives driver a rotten attitude, refuses to state destination, had previous problem with customer and does not have fare to pay at the start of destination and must refuse politely and if they feel customer is a threat to driver safety.  If a driver refuses a customer.  They must notify dispatch why they refused and the reason.  Dispatch can not electronically put a cab out of service without approval from the Transportation Inspector.  Dispatcher must take first responder training from the Anchorage Police Department.  Cab driver can not refuse a short trip.  If a cab is dispatch from Muldoon for an short Eagle River trip they have to go get the trip or face the consequences from the Anchorage Transportation Inspector.  Phone number unless customer voluntarily gives it out are not allowed to be given to a cab driver.  If a dispatcher gives out a telephone number to a driver a penalty will occur to the Dispatch company and possibly the dispatcher gave it out against Dispatch company policy.  Dispatcher could be fined and dispatch company could take action against employee if they so choose.  Dispatch companies could do like cab companies in Spokane can choose to contract their call takers with an answering service.  Anchorage example is Sicily's Pizza they answer phones for more than just Sicily's Pizza.  They also answer calls for China Garden and other business in town above their Spenard location.  Cab companies can employ just dispatchers.  Cab drivers will be required to speak English and must pass a geography test.  Dispatchers must also pass a geography test and must undergo First Responder training through the Anchorage Police and Fire Department they must be certified by the Municipality of Anchorage before they are allowed to dispatch.  Vehicles must be inspected and repaired by a reputable dealership like Cal Worthington Ford no recessed vehicle aka junk cabs.  Handicap cabs must serve handicap trips first closest cab will be dispatched and must respond with in less than an hour.  A minimum of one handicap cab must be working at all times at each dispatch company.  Anchorage Charr due to the fact cabs are not required to participate in the off the Road program.  You can not make a cab driver participate in a program.  Since 2008 Regina Doyle removed Alaska Yellow Cab from participation because drivers got to greedy with the program.  The publisher of this blog will unless the Amy Demboski to make sure that this ordinance is performed or the Anchorage public will introduce really competition this is last chance at this 39 year dinosaur.

Spokane's Main Avenue two way proposal is a rotten idea unless you make Spokane Falls Blvd a two way street as well.  As someone who worked at Spokane Opera House and Convention Center from 1992-1995 as a janitor.  I lived in Spokane from 1991-1998 when I returned to Alaska.  Now I am bring Spokane type of taxi reform to Anchorage.  This would be a traffic nightmare that would increase congestion.  For this to really work you would need to shorten the land the Spokane Public Library stands on.  You would have to move Abraham Lincoln statue across the street.  You would have to create a roundabout at Monroe/Main/Spokane Falls Blvd take some land away from the federal courthouse to make this work.  Best idea leave this street as it now.  Traffic will flow much better.  There was a reason the Spokane planners did this was to make traffic flow faster.  This would increase congestion and actually make it harder to traffic to move in Downtown Spokane.  Now if the Cowles Family would not object to Riverside being a one way street going east in front their newspaper this could work too.  But do not get that started unless you Stacey Cowles coming to city call pretending he is the king and the citizens are the little people.  Since we are the little people of Spokane.  Please tell the Spokane City Council leaves this alone.  Plus we to allow more business at Boots Bakery this proposal will make it harder for Boots to stay in business. 

Duck Dynasty needs a Western headquarters of Duck Commander and has a mountain named after Uncle Si

The picture of house I grew up until I was 13 year with Mt Si in my hometown of North Bend in the background.   I took in December of 2012 during my emotional vacation last year to honor my Grandpa Swenson who this blog has actually been named after to honor him but not to offend other family members I call it Personal Stories and Opinions from a Swenson Family Member  which like Willie I was born into this family.  This is partly cloudy behind it typical North Bend weather.

Duck Dynasty time to expand and create a western headquarters in my hometown of North Bend  the city needs the revenue your business would generate.  This city already has a Mountain named after one of your character Uncle Si.  Actually named for a rugged outdoors man who died in 1882 who had a homestead there about the spot where North Bend is located.  This city with its mayor who graduated with my mother Sharon Yakanak.  Ken Hearing would give you guys a tax credit.  You could make T-Shirt putting your face on the Mountain.  North Bend needs the revenue you guys could generated that is why he would give you the tax credit.  Plenty of ducks to hunt no not the natives walking in the rain the city generates except for two months out of the year.  Alpine Lakes Wilderness has plenty of ducks to hunt.  Now Washington State Dictator Jay Inslee would probably declare all ducks an endangered species.  You may soon if you have less than one ounce you might be able to smoke dope while hunting too.  Washington State voters were already They filled their absentee ballot the only way they are allowed to vote in the Social Republic of Washington unless in Scotland then they vote by secure internet connection by computer.  Imagine North Bend, Washington the western home of Duck Commander next to a mountain already named after one of their most famous characters Uncle Si.  Please lobby Duck Dynasty to have the western headquarters of North Bend.  City would be rich they are already benefited from Twin Peaks every comes to Twede's Cafe formerly Mar T Cafe for the most famous pies in the world at the SE corner of State Rte 202 aka Bendigo Blvd aka North Bend Blvd and North Bend Way aka W First Street.  Main is the dividing line between W and E not North Bend Blvd.  Please lobby the North Bend City Council to offer Duck Dynasty and Duck Commander a tax break to have the western headquarters will Uncle Si in charge or at least living here  to a city that has a mountain already named after Uncle Si Robertson.  Please Willie have your uncle move here you still run it remote from your headquarters in West Monroe.  Have your uncle move here we have a mountain with his name on it.

Have the Gates Foundation pay all the school districts that want Common Core not US Taxpayers

Starting this school year a lot of school district including Anchorage have adopted this Common Core idea.  This actually came from a lab inside the Microsoft Headquarters at One Microsoft Way in Redmond east of Seattle.  Bill Gates the chief and the major reason the Socialist Republic of Washington's education system is at the bottom of the apple core.  Since he has spent so much money making Common Core aka lets brain wash every American child to that common sense and conservative thinking is a bad way to think. Basically talking about putting RFID chips in school children not a bad idea however this should be done by parents that dissolve back into the skin do not harm child either and some parents do this to track their special needs child through a radio transmitter.  This is also a way to brand people kind of what Hitler did to the Jews during World War II without the nasty experiments. Could the Washington Post soon be an online newspaper only?

Recently Seattle mega businessman Jeff Bezos the CEO of Amazon with his own cash decided to recently purchase the Washington Post.  This paper is usually the first in the nation when it comes to breaking US Capitol News why not it is right there.  This paper really got famous in 1973 for breaking the Watergate scandal that eventually got Richard Nixon to resign on August 8, 1974 when the US Senate was about ready to vote on articles of impeachment.  Then Arizona senator mentioned to Richard Nixon that you should resign to protect the powers of the presidency.  When Jeff Bezos recently decided to buy the Washington Post he states he would have no authority over the content of what the newspaper printed.  As long as press is allowed to ask real questions and get the true story then management and ownership needs to bud out the day to day operations.  Now with Jeff Bezos the owner could he make the Washington Post accessible online only like the Hearst papers did 4 years ago to the Seattle PI which was Washington State's oldest newspaper at the time had published since 1863 at the time.  One of the things we talked about in the Library Technician classes at Spokane Falls Community College in the Early 1990's that information will be for those who could adapt to technology and those who are not in the know will no longer have access it to.  Days of reading an old fashion newspaper or a physical book will be history.  I do not believe this will ever be true.  Because people will always want to be comfortable with a good book and will also grab a newspaper go to their local coffee shop.  Could Washington, DC be one of the first metropolis not to have a newspaper available in the bin.  We shall see what Jeff Bezos plans are for Washington's most read newspaper in the city and usually the first newspaper on the scene for national coverage of White House and Congress events.

Portland has won most of the constitution high school competitions. Why it is still socialist not conservative?

Recently today I read in the Oregonian on September 3, 2013 that Portland high school since the constitution contest started back in 1988 has won more competition began.  Here is an interesting question then why do people under 40 which probably out numbers the other residents in the city still elect socialist and communist candidates to high elected office such as mayor and city council.  Portland has elected two socialist one currently named Charles Hales who believes that Portland needs a higher crime rate and the other is was Sam Adams who was gay we will forget that quirk he also refused to evict the Occupy Portland squatters in Downtown Portland with the city commissioners enjoyed keeping homeowners taxes and fees higher than usual.  He did bring two great shows to Portland.  One is called Portlandia which is what the city is really like and Grimm what Portland could become with too much socialist.  Since Portland Schools since 1988 have won more constitutional contest then why has the city not been more like Spokane and Anchorage which actually listen to their residents and really elect people who keep taxes and fees down.  Here is real reason the AARP and people over 40 vote more in election than the younger crowd.  This needs to change time to start voting young people of Portland you start voting you can change this city about 180 make it easier for taxpayers and jobs will come to Portland.  Think how would like to take businesses away from Communist Seattle to the north be the economic engine in the Pacific Northwest once again.  The last time that happened was before 1900. Those under 40 start voting starting in the next election.

First of all I want to thank the LGBT movement for making all talented Oregon businesses to have to perform services of their trade.  Recently a Gresham based business Sweet Cakes by Melissa refused to bake a cake for a same sex couple due to religious grounds.  They have that right.  Their are other bakeries in the area that would had done the world.  The Socialist Government of Oregon is investigating saying that they broke a socialist act called the Oregon Gender Equality of 2007 when the truth a business has the right not to perform a service due to religious grounds.  They also did not say the couple had a bad attitude the real reason the bakery refused service.  Thanks Oregon for listening to the LGBT lobby and making all talented business have to go underground like Sweet Cakes by Melissa

Why do we not required California Transgendered children to have sex reassignment surgery before using opposite sex bathrooms

 Thanks to court action this law has been temporary blocked and children in California are safe until a court hopefully does not side with these idiots will be allowed to in public school to use the bathroom of their choice.  Let's do like we do with Olympic athletes except for the intersex let the child choose not parent at birth.  If a boy wants to go as a girl then require the male genitalia completely removed yes a complete sex change, depending on age put on estrogen to develop female character of body complete removal of the testes and penis or If a girl wants to be a boy depending on age will require breast augmentation and a small phallus and a complete hysterectomy removal of uterus and ovaries.  May need to have silicon testicles this could be pricey.  Once that is done and you have a doctor and a school nurse check that has been done then opposite bathroom can be used.  They need to physical look like the sex of their desired gender or you have that body first or it could look possibility like legalize child porn.  What if a boy wants to be transgendered just to look at naked girls? If they are really is not transgendered this would make the genetic girls scared that their could be a child pervert in their bathroom.  What if you have a trans girl in the boys bathroom after the age of 8? They did not take their puberty blockers you genetic boys who are curious ask where is your penis and may grab the breast of a female this is rape.  California has made this legal.  Thanks California on January 1, 2014 you have changed your name to Pervertifornia.  California residents please go to court to prevent this law from happening and also prevent this from happening to our children.  This is a form of eugenics even if it voluntary eugenics. Some adults become transgendered then wish they had not then it is too late they are sterile for life go back to original gender. 

Example David Reimer who committed suicide in 2004 over his ordeal his due to bad circumcision in 1968 and a doctor's experiment on gender neutrality this was an involuntary sex change then their is Holden Gothia a six year old who's mother in a drug induced habit cut off his and blamed it on the family dog. He will have too take male hormones and eventually get a penis replacement and may have to go out as girl due to having no genitals so other boys do not ask where is yours? Sex education should be taught at home but who is your friend and stranger should not be

Now days sex education is increasing being taught in public schools now we have Common Core.  Kindergarteners can barely learn their ABC and 123 which is what we do focus on with this group.  Not sexual body parts which most kindergarteners could not even say beyond like dog and cat.  I could see like the Chicago Police Department have two assemblies in the schools  teach the students who is a friend and a stranger.  This will help prevent childhood abductions and have the parent submit a list who is authorized to pick up child.  As a former taxi cab dispatcher I asked the either student's teacher or principal to have kid wait in office and have cab driver come inside if cab driver refused I inform you do this or you do not take these trips.  This would reduce childhood abductions.  Have a child get finger printed at the police station get a DNA swabbed no needles involved since most little kids hate needles just go into any doctors office.  Teacher the student the proper body parts that belongs at home not the school.  I understand a girls body starts changing at age eight or nine and a boys boy starting changing around 11.  Have them learn it from a school teacher at five that is ridiculous they do not even not how to tie their shoes yet.  Places like the Chicago Public Schools want to teach this in kindergarten come on.  We are teach kids not future pervert no wonder why we have children who become perverts as adults.  I hope the Chicago Public Schools have an opt out option if not pull your kids out of to private school or home school.  Parents should only teacher sex education when the child is not ready not when some stupid six figure administrator who does teach kids decides.  Come on America reject Common Core and anything that is not American and Apple Pie.  Public Schools was never part of state check constitution.  They say nothing about education funding in any way period. 

Gay people want equality in marriage then small business and religion want equality from you

You know conservatives the gay marriage folks have a point here.  We need to waive the white flag on this issue.  Does this mean that church have to marry these folks no.  They can choose any church they want.  We also need to have small business equality and religion equality which means if a church says no we are not marrying you then couple goes to the church down the street.  If a small bakery like in Oregon saying we are not making your cake there are plenty of bakeries that will. Gay couple respect a church and a small business right not to accept your business.  Stop clogging the courts to get your agenda passed.  If you want your activity recognized then you bring a convincing argument some states like Alaska state government are giving you benefits, federal government and private employers are giving you benefits.  Now let's do this where gay marriage is not recognized make a good case why you will win.  America will recognize gay marriage but not the transgendered folks unless done early enough do not look like a freak show.  Fire the Transgendered folks that body modification and possible disguised way to be a pervert also known as fake males and fake males since they are not the biological the sex they are born

LGBT movement needs to realize mainstream America may accept their lifestyle but we have choice that we do not have making wedding cakes and marry you in our christian churches.  You have already made a 100 year old institution like the boy scouts and girls scouts have less values now.  They now have a tolerance merit badge with a purple flag on it.

March 22, 2010 Barack Obama, Congress controlled by Nancy Pelosi, Senator Harry Reid passed the Affordable Care Act which the US Supreme Court ruled constitutional only become it was considered a tax on June 28, 2012.  Now they have to market it as a tax.  Internal Revenue Service will have access to your medical records which is none of there business.  Many private corporations are cutting back hours and many small business are shutting their doors which are displacing many workers.  The real reason unemployment has stayed over eight percent since 2007 when the market bubble crashed is because.  The president and since 2011 the Democrats controlling the US Senate have refused to make it easier for private sector business to give people jobs.  We have been in most states have public assistance that is more generous than a part time job this needs to change.  A lot of large companies are cutting their employees back to under 29 hours a week so they do not have to pay health insurance kind of like the Hawaii style economy where if they employ over 19 hours a week you have to provide health insurance.  There are also exemptions made by some senators.  The Alaska US Senators Mark Begich and Lisa Murkowski made an exemption for native non profit corporations where they do not have pay health insurance to their workers since a majority can use the free medical center call the Alaska Native Medical Center I pay for can not use.  My former employer Alaska Yellow Cab is a subsidy of Sea Lion Corporation which is operated by the Hooper Bay Native Corporation which a native non profit do not have to pay health insurance even though most employees can not use the free Alaska Native Medical Center.  That is why the Affordable Care is real called the Unaffordable Care Act and has been a jobs killer.  You have to work two or three part time jobs versus a full time job unless it is a cushion government job with over inflated union benefits.  Please tell the US Senate Republicans to vote to defund the Unaffordable Health Care act today and get this economy moving, save jobs and make public assistance less attractive by lowering the benefits to a $6 an hour making it so they have to find a job.  Put a five year limit which in 1997 the Welfare Reform Act did.  The real reason the Clinton Administration was successful is because from 1995-1998 the Republican control congress insisted on a Balanced budget and tried to pass a Balance Budget amendment which failed.  Most household have a budget why not the federal government.  Ronald Reagan was right in 1981 We do not have a revenue problem we have a spending problem.  Government is the problem not the solution to the problem.  We need to make it so small business is important again.  My father was a small businessman until he ended FM Electronics due to son being a political commentator.  Some times he would bid on a job then have to look over his shoulder to see if son had not commented on an issue.  He lost a Washington State DOT contract due to my comment on the North Bend roundabout even though he had the lowest bid.  He almost lost a Star Schools technology contract in early 1990's when I fainted in 1992 at the Education School District 101 Headquarters due to lack of sleep while working and attending Spokane Falls Community College at the time.  My instructor was not impressed. Unless you have a public sector job you do not have benefits.

It is time to reduce the District of Columbia down to a six block area make it a historical park

There are many people who believe that District of Columbia statehood is the answer.  When they create Washington, DC it was not suppose to be a city around the capitol.  District of Columbia was create in 1799 so the capitol would not be put in a state back at that time until 1800 when the capitol moved it was in New York City from 1789-1800.  It was originally in Philadelphia from September 1787-March of 1789. Instead District of Columbia needs to be part of Maryland.  It can be a consolidated county called Washington-Columbia County, Maryland.  This also would give Maryland two congressman and give Washington access to two senators now this city will probably get its own congressman or have two congressman instead of a delegate who has no power.  Why have a state of 800,000 have only 3 electoral vote when you can increase Maryland from 10 electoral votes to 12 and we could give an electoral vote to a state that lost one in the last census.  This would be a better approach then DC statehood.  Plus GOP would not have control of it anyway.  The capitol would be in neutral ground. 

More Tikatknu Commons like large scale development nightmares will continue in Anchorage and Eagle River

Thanks Anchorage Assembly for creating more Tikatknu Commons like nightmares in develop in the Municipality of Anchorage.  Recently on August 19th, 2013 People Mover has decided that if you want to visit Tikatknu Commons you have to get off and go across the street.  We need to require large scale developments to pay six figures to develop in Anchorage they do that in my hometown of Snoqualmie Valley and Snoqualmie Ridge is a planned and great community it took about 5-10 years to develop it.  It is planned out well and it looks awesome.  If Eagle River wants more bus service then you make large scale developers pay an impact fee this will get us more transit funding.  If we move the East Anchorage transit center from 12th and Muldoon to Tikatknu Commons it would be safer for bus passengers and would be better for workers and people who shop there.  This is an inconvenience to the workers and shoppers in East Anchorage.  There is only one bus route where you could have six but Cook Inlet Region Incorporated refuses to make it easier for buses to navigate this shopping center please make more restrictions to large scale developments this will give Eagle River another bus route and bring back the Route 77.  Here is a picture of Tikatknu Commons and picture of Snoqualmie Ridge.

Attention Anchorage Assembly and Anchorage Police Chief Mark Mew hire night time cab drivers to monitor new bars if they see someone impaired coming out of a bar then start to drive then have a special number that cab drivers and dispatcher can call to report drunk drivers to and then have the Anchorage Police Department pull over the drunk driver so they do not kill someone or themselves by accident while driving impaired.  Have retail store clerks from convenience stores during the grave yard shift if they see someone plastered also report to the police if the drunk person who drives to their store impaired.  It is better to give a person a DWI where hopefully will be a wake up call then to have a traffic fatality.  If a cab driver successful reports driver to law enforcement while doing fare  the cab driver should get a reward of $200 minimum if the dispatcher calls from a cab driver the cab driver gets $100 and the dispatch company gets $100.  Dispatcher if Dispatch Company chooses can pay the dispatch there portion decision made by dispatch manager or officer manager or dispatch owner since dispatch helped prevent drunk driver. 

Native Alaskan Corporations and tribal councils should pay for teachers to teach in rural Alaska

Since we have a problem keeping teachers to teach in rural Alaska.  Why not the Alaskan Native Corporation and village tribal councils pay upcoming teachers during college in a form of a scholarship.  Applicants must maintain a B average and they must agree to teach in an Alaskan village for five years after graduation.  This also makes it so that Alaskan native village like Akhiok make an investment in the community.  Another idea is to allow the Alaska Board of Education not to require a teacher certificate to teach in a rural Alaska school allow elders to teach the kids this will allow the Alaska natives to pass down their traditions to the Alaska native youth.

Alaskans are required by law to file for a Permanent Fund Dividend according to the Alaska State Law

Yes, Taxi reform will soon be coming to the Emerald city.  A week ago last Monday a bunch of cab drivers went to the Seattle City Hall to complain about Uber and Sidecar.  The local officials told the cab drivers to take a shower and get to the work get fares.  It seems that if want to be a cab driver.  You should have to work for it not get it delivered to on a silver platter.  It would be interesting if people want a taxi cab permit can afford one can get one if they follow all the local regulations.  They purchase a car, hire a night driver or day driver.  Have an independent business if you provide great customer service youkeep your customers.  Do not charge more than fare you are allowed by law.  Not be lazy you can make good money in the business.  Excess regulation prohibits great customer service.

Spoko and RE Powell needs to pay any repair bills due to wrong tank put in pump mistake

Thanks to KHQ Local News an NBC Affiliate out of Spokane for breaking this story.  I hope Spoko and RE Powell will pay for damages to customers engines or offer free fuel cards to customers affected.  I am glad that Spoko decided to shut down their Airway Heights operations temporary.  If you have repair bills and engine trouble and you filled up at Spoko in Airway Heights west of Spokane please take your receipt or estimate from a repair shop take it to Spoko demand payment.  If they refuse to pay call an Attorney and sue Spoko and RE Powell for causing your mechanical problem then file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of the Inland Empire.  You can also report this to the Washington State Attorney General's Eastern Washington Office in Spokane.  If they receive enough complaints they will send people to this business in Airway Heights and take legal action.  Hopefully Spoko and RE Powell will do the right thing compensate customers for their wrong doing.  Thanks Dylan Wolenhaus for reporting this story.  This blog will make sure customers get compensation for wrong gas put in pump.

All mountain rescues unless it is a criminal act should be paid by the rescue person

Here in Alaska and other states that have high mountain terrain.  We get these daredevils or people who want to explore the Alaska or high mountain terrain.  I say go ahead should government pay any amount of it.  Answer is no.  Dan Fagan former TV talk radio host in Anchorage had a solution to this once.  It was you want a mountain rescue get your credit card out.  Most national parks should require a $100,000 bond before you climb.  You want to climb Mt Rainer and Mt McKinley then deposit $100,000 to the US Forest Service require a Sherpa you get 75 percent back if you survive ten percent goes to the Sherpa.  ten percent to administration to maintain the program.  This will actually help the survival rate of climbers.  Now since Flattop Mountain is located in the Municipality of Anchorage you want to climb it then deposit $10,000 to Anchorage Fire Department you get $9,000 back if you do not need rescued.  You get a ticket to climb mountain.  If it is a criminal act such as someone pushing someone to kill them or attempt to kill them then the victim should not have to pay to be rescued that is the only reason you should get a free rescue.  The truth is you really do not get a free rescue you end up paying at the end but usually it is about less than 50 percent of the rescue instead of 100 percent of the rescue which is what it should be.  You could apply insurance on this.  Sherpas be required on any big mountain reduce deaths they are a lifeline they require then in Switzerland, Canada and Nepal but not in America why?  A life is not worth being risky and stupid why should the American taxpayer pay for stupidity of a daredevil.  You want to adventure in Alaskan or any American wilderness then pay first.  American only pay for political stupidity not for recreational climbing.  We should not pay for that either?  That is another blog to one day be written.  If you have a heart attack on the trail you would also not need to pay for that rescue.

North Bend parents have been asking for over 30 years to fence the playground

As a child growing up in North Bend and attended North Bend Elementary from 4th and 5th grade in the early 1980's.  My mother Sharon Marion now known as Sharon Yakanak was head of the North Bend Elementary Elementary Parent Teachers Association.  Please convince the Snoqualmie Valley School District or better yet have the North Bend Parent Teachers Association raise the money and put the fence up.  However the real question is since their is a trail from the north from EJ Roberts Park you need to allow the children to play on the equipment after hours.  Since the City of North Bend owns the land the school is on.  Maybe the City of North Bend could employ a park employee or talk to the King County Si View Park District about leasing or buying the land they could manage the playground when school is not in session.  Snoqualmie Valley School District can not man the playground after hours.  Better yet may be a parent volunteer could employee a citizen patrol this is my mother asked for when she was in charge of the North Bend Elementary PTA from 1980-1985.  This is when Frank Crnick a Roslyn native was principal their. Medicaid should not be allowed to use in Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks taxis main reason recently an Anchorage permit owner and cab driver got his non transferrable handicap permit taken away for excepting medicaid payments for runs to bingo and to the liquor.  I remember when cab drivers would ask this voucher goes from home to liquor store and I would have to deny payment.  Anchorage Police Department would not respond to the taxi as a defraud because they had a form of payment.  I would tell the driver they have to pay or drive them to jail.  Some customer would call and say why did the driver not take my medicaid voucher.  My response would be did the doctor prescribe Jack Daniels as medicine.  Customers says no.  I would ask their full name then the next business day I would call their caseworker guess what next month they would have their benefits cancelled.  You use medicaid do not mess with this dispatcher.  I also used to be a monitor to the Early Screening Program if the customer talk nasty to the cab driver.  I would talk to Ann Comeau the person in charge of the program as morning dispatcher at Alaska Yellow Cab.  If they do it too many times then guess what the member would be off the program.  I banned five people on the program.  If we banned Medicaid from Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks taxis then they would not be able to accept Early Screen Program vouchers either.  In developed cities like Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau the bus system would be great for transport of people.  The only exception would be the exceptionally handicapped then the Anchor Rides program would work in their favor. 

Small rural city post offices that are close together should be allowed to contract a local courier for faster mail delivery

Sometimes the moron bureaucrats in Washington, DC do not understand that most of America lives in small town rural America.  Instead having mail go from point A to B if the process is local.  Here is an Alaskan example.  If you are mailing a letter from Palmer to Wasilla why should you have wait three days to get that letter instead the Palmer and Wasilla post office could call a courier service to deliver those letter to each other.  Have the local post office put a stamp on it.  Every post has one unless in a big city like Spokane, Seattle and Anchorage.  Snoqualmie Valley the Western Washington example.  If you were to mail a letter from North Bend to Carnation a mail courier would be much faster to truck that letter to some mail processing facility this will speed up mail delivery.  Central Washington mail delivery example if you were to mail a letter from Cle Elum to South Cle Elum which is just across the Yakima River why would not a local courier service.  Here is an interesting argument why do we even have a post office in South Cle Elum since most residents come into Cle Elum to do shopping anyway but then if you use that argument.  Cle Elum would be the only city with a post office since everybody in the Upper Kittitas County comes into Cle Elum to shop since Roslyn has not had a supermarket or place where people save lots on groceries for probably more than 30 years and since Safeway is the only major grocery hopefully one day that will to give the Upper Kittitas County some competition which the Snoqualmie Valley has benefited from competition. 

Pasco facility should remain open in Eastern Washington to have mail in Central Washington and Northern Oregon move faster

Recently the United States Postal Service chose to close three small postal facilities in Central Washington.  I understand this is to save money.  However to keep mail moving faster in Central Washington and Northern Oregon please keep the Pasco facility open.  This facility could process any overflow.  I understand why the Spokane facility was chosen due to fact in the winter if the Seattle facility was chosen.  Central Washington may go days without mail service depending on pass closures.  That was smart now we have another issue that the quickness of delivery to Central Washington.  By reducing the staff at the Pasco facility this will allow the flow of mail to Central Washington residents to be faster.  This could also be an overflow facility since the Spokane facility can process mail very fast.  I remember get a mail in only a day within town however Central Washington residents to do deliver from point A to B unless within region such as if you are mailing from Ronald to South Cle Elum hopefully will just be done by courier instead of having that mail go to Spokane to be processed then head to mail a letter in a local area.  Leaving the Pasco facility open would make it so mail would flow faster in case the Spokane facility gets a backlog.  This would also keep jobs in Tri Cities area.  Please keep Pasco facility open.  The bad news is that North Central Washington with the Wenatchee area closing in order to save the United States Postal Services money would need to understand that in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan counties mail will need to take longer.  Good news since Moses Lake is just a straight shot on Interstate 90 they will get mail faster then from the Wenatchee facility since trucks will not need travel to Moses Lake using State Route 28.  Please call Congressman Hastings and ask that the Pasco facility remain open even at a reduced capacity to ensure faster delivery within Central Washington and Northern Oregon.

Portland Transit customers taken for a ride while managers get the gravy

It seems that objective of TriMet is to serve the public of the Portland Metropolitan area.  However the managers of TriMet have been pigs at the troth of the Portland area taxpayers.  The fares are the highest in the nation.  For 575 miles of track the adult Portland area passenger pays $100 a month.  For a low income worker or the average worker who can not afford or to pay the high taxes of the Metro Portland Government to drive on the streets.  I guess TriMet in Portland is kind of the Washington State Ferry System which is main reason why Washington State must toll roads to put more money in a ferry boat.  When you have high fares but have less of a product reduce service.  Have you ever though that maybe if reduce your administration give more money to drivers.  Give employees the option to shop for health care and benefits by looking at the least price options layoff 50 off your managers.  Neil McFairlane who has been eating the most expensive stake he likes well done at Sizzler how about if the Oregon Metropolitan council was to reduce your salary to 100K which is not what you are worth.  You know many Occupy Portland demonstrations have targeted corporations when maybe they should Occupy TriMet bus stage a protest or sense Portland is know to be weird ride naked.  I say when you ride TriMet put 50 percent of the ride.  You get enough people doing that.  You actually might have to lower your monthly pass from $100 to $50.  Next time you renew your monthly pay the cashier $50 say monthly pass please.  They refuse tell them I am only paying $50.  After last week they could not even pay afford the light bill to Portland General Electric causing a disruption of service.  Come on wake up stop being weird demand you lower the Monthly pass to $50.  Quit being an embarrassment.  You are causing Oregon taxpayers to pay low income and public assistance programs more money out of their budget.  Let's find some money out of a couch cushion reduce some fares quit squeezing fares out of innocent Portlanders because they are fed up.  Thank you my friends at KOIN Local 6 this blog will continue to added when I find more info on their investigation of TriMet gravy.

Here is an idea let's eliminate the Internal Revenue Service

Since this is a popular American agency that was created by the 16th amendment to the US Constitution in 1913 and the Progressive political movement unless you are a Ron Paul bot and believe this amendment was not ratified.  We need to replace this with a flat tax or a consumption tax.  If a state wants to collect an income tax they should have that right.  I am not advocating a state income tax.  Since recently the IRS has been used to go after conservative group.  I would like you to go after this blog.  Since it does not make any money as of yet.  It does not owe you a dime.  Please call your congressman and US Senators ask this agency go bye bye

West Fertilizer accident in Texas was a domestic terror incident not an industrial accident as was first reported

According to the McClendon County Sheriffs Department they have arrested a fellow firefighter Bryce Reed who had homemade bombs at his residence made by normal cleaning supplies.  Yes the FBI, ATF and Texas Rangers also helped in the investigation of the West Fertilizer Accident in West, Texas a small town in McClendon County where Waco sits.  Could this be in protest of the Waco tragedy done in 1993 at the Koresh compound which the attack was illustrated by the Texas Rangers, FBI, ATF and the Janet Reno justice department during the Clinton Administration.  The week of April 17th was the 20th anniversary of the Koresh compound tragedy which the Government did or David Koresh we will never know since some of those files have been sealed forever.  Now on October 3, 1909 in my adopted hometown of Roslyn their was a mining explosion an industrial accident that was a dark day in Roslyn and Cle Elum history.  Roslyn prays for the folks in West, Texas that you will recover.  Please EPA do not stop this town from recovering from an industry because I am sure Governor Rick Perry a possible 2016 GOP candidate for president will not put up with you and preventing this town from getting back on its feet.  As for this disgraced firefighter as a son of a volunteer firefighter from Kittitas County I will tell you if wanted to fight a fire volunteer to fight do not create them so you can fight them you killed a Dallas area fire captain over this and other first responders.  I hope the State of Texas gives you swift punishment that if death penalty put in front of the line 5 years minimum buddy maybe one appeal.

Ronald McDonald told Charles Ramsey to rescue three women in Cleveland

Ronald McDonald had communicated to Charles Ramsey with the help of Green Teenager Barista Crime Fighter who appeared as the fast food attendant at a Cleveland McDonald's restaurant.  Charles said I would like an Big Mac with Seattle's Best Coffee.  Green Teenager Barista Crime Fighter told him in a ear there are three girls across the street one will be screaming her name is Amanda Berry you need to eat this meal.  Then the scream will happen you will actually rescue three awesome women and a little child from a monster family.  I will meet you over their I am preparing a hot boiling cup of Seattle's Best Coffee to throw on the suspect.  Charles says sounds like a fucking plan to me.  I eat McDonald's rescue children and then you throw fucking coffee on suspect.  Sounds like a fucking good day.  He holds thumb up heads home.  He sips the hot Seattle's best coffee and eat's a bite of Big Mac hears Amanda Berry yelling in the street please call somebody I have been kidnapped.  Charles frees Amanda and then discovers two other girls Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight.  All three were carried out by ambulance.  Green Barista Teenager Barista Crime fighter arrives on the scene before Cleveland Police does throw very hot Seattle's Best Coffee on the Castro brothers they are arrested put in patrol car.  I hope justice is done for these idiots.  Thank You Charles Ramsey for listening to the spirit of Green Teenager Barista Crime Fighter.
