Time to make every borough and census area a local school district in Alaska

Yesterday the Alaska Supreme Court upheld that the legislature can require local contributions if the local area also wants state funding.  In 1964 a Democrat the founding Governor Bill Egan mentioned that each area of the state should become a borough most of rural Alaska rejected this that is why some parts of Alaska are in a borough and some are not.  The unorganized ones got 100 percent state funding that is uneven way of funding state funding for education.  There are two ways of funding this.

One way is to make every census area a borough if you do this.  I recommend the native corporations help in putting the borough government together.

Second way is put each government census area in a current organized borough this will form more bureaus quickly.

Final way if to allow more than one school district in a borough this allows an area to receive more localized funding.

Now that the Supreme Court of Alaska has demanded local contributions to public education question is how much should a people of municipality for their public school.  Great Alaska Scam will have to accept the funding formula used.

NFC Playoff Prediction Wild Card Prediction

While Carson Palmer and Cam Newton are drinking beers to figure who to face in the division.

Since the author of the blog is a Seahawks fan there is a complete bias in this conference.

These games are on Sunday.  First game and Currently the best team in NFC champs Seattle Seahawks who are on the plane heading to Minnesota Vikings will play in Minneapolis at 10:05am.  My prediction is that Minnesota will be eliminated.  Seahawks will head to Charlotte to face Cam Newton.

Final game of the day will be in DC where the Greeen Bay Packers will travel to DC to face the Redskins.  That will be at 5:40pm at Fedex Field.  The prediction I have is that the Packers will be eliminated the Redskins will be advance to face Carson Palmer in the Supersitions

Vote yes Upper Kittitas County EMS Levy good idea on February 9th, 2016

This levy for emergency medical services for Upper Kittitas County Hospital District 2 help continue to pay for the operating expenses of providing ambulance services for the Northern half of Kittitas County that is a large area from Snoqualmie Pass to the west to Thorp to the east and south with Blewitt Pass and Liberty to the north.  With a quarter of your pocket per a $1,000 in property assessment value from the county property assessor.  The average property in Cle Elum is $190,000 you pay $22.50 every six month meaning you pay $45.00 a year which is a bargain to provide emergency transport for the whole district.

Change of guard at Cle Elum Mayors Office

According to the Northern Kittitas County Tribune fresh of the press today.  Cle Elum mayor transitioned from Charlie Glondo who served from 2003-2015 for three four year term served consecutively.  Now it is Jay McGowan who actually looked like my Dad with a I am sure a Phil Robertson and Si Robertson personality.  You have to funny personality in public service and patience kind of raising children or supervising employees.  However just remember Cle Elum the Mayor and City Council or any government board appointed or elected whether gets a salary or volunteer they serve to listen to you.  There is a procedure they must by their city charter they have.  Unless you are invited as an agenda item or request to be an agenda item.  Usually most municipality have a period where residents can voice their concerns usually average is 3 minutes that average in most towns in America. If you go over the council president or mayor who ever has the gavel. Cle Elum that is the mayor.  This blog congrats Jay McGowan for stepping up to the plate to be mayor he took that job on my 44th birthday last Wednesday on December 30th.  We thank Charlie Glondo for his service.  Last Tuesday, January 5, 2016 while I was giving a hand to Charlie at his business I thanked him for his service and he told me with Jay's experience of 27 years at the Cle Elum City Council meetings.  Each person even they have worked together has different management styles.  Remember the mayor is the chief executive of the city since Cle Elum like most cities has this type of government unless the city choose to have their charter through the voters to have a council-manager type government.  Jay will have a different approach then Charlie and city supervisors will have to get use to it.

We wish Seattle lone socialist Jim McDermott Congressman luck in retirement

Jim McDermott Seattle Socialist Congressman.  Jim has been involved in state politics as a representative starting in 1971.  Then he has been Seattle's Congressman since 1989.  Due to redistricting in 2013 he lost the International District and Columbia City area of Seattle to Adam Smith gained Edmonds north of Seattle and Burien and Normandy Park south of Seattle.  This blog salutes his retirement and hand the seat to the next socialist.  My conservative friends this does not open a gain unlike the 6th Congressional 4 years ago where we could find a possible Republican against Derek Kilmer from Gig Harbor to possibly overturn this seat this still could happen there.  This area is a complete socialist unless the Pacific Northwest Progressive city suddenly has common sense not going to happen sorry dude.

Let's call this awesome Cle Elum landmark after a great local teacher

Cle Elum you have an awesome landmark which this awesome community has performances.  Robert Michel Nevills who actually like to be called Mike.  He taught many years in Cle Elum High School in Social Studies, Drama and English from the 1970's to around the 2000's.  He was most relaxed during my last quarter of Senior Year in Drama. The Vogue Theatre was actually his idea.  I am glad to see another teacher who was my Senior Class advisior Jim Miller continuing his work by directing local performances.  Let's keep the name the Vogue Theatre but below the name put the name Robert Michel Nevills below the Vogue in honor his commitment to the local Theater and Arts in the Upper Kittitas County.  Today, January 5, 2016 while sitting at a Dairy Queen with my dad I found that my late Granddad Marion's organ that use to be in the Living Room when you came into the main living room at my Grandma's house.  That organ was donated to the theater.  Top picture was in 1923 this theater was build originally as the Lane Theatre.
