Please call me Midtown Benson Center.  Here is why.  I am located in Anchorage's Midtown area.  Benson Blvd is the street that borders me on the south side.  People have been enjoying me since 1968 as part of the Anchorage rebuild from a major earthquake.  Please suggest I be called Midtown Benson Center

Demand that AEDC take the 7.2 million in grant money to build a Anchorage Downtown Library

Janet Goetz willed the Anchorage Municipality $7.2 million to create an Anchorage Downtown Library.  The perfect place for this library is right above the Anchorage Transit Center.  It will provide a stable tenant and people can use the library while waiting for the bus.  You can even build a skywalk bridge from city hall to make it easier for city employees to use the library.  Please have the Anchorage Assembly demand that the AEDC take this 7.2 million dollars from three estate and build a library for the Downtown area. 

Andrew Halcro you need to open the restrooms to the Anchorage Transit Center

Anchorage Downtown business community is asking you open the restrooms.  Business like the Downtown Kaladi Brothers have seen increase in traffic of undesirables around their establishment.  The situation of you closing the bathroom has made an impact on your neighbors.  You need to get the Anchorage Assembly to order Andrew Halcro to open this restrooms.  You say the impact on your neighbors is not your problem.  Here is the truth the decisions you make effect your neighbors it becomes your problem.  Please call Andrew Halcro's office at (907) 276-7275 demand he open the restrooms back up.

Is Forrest Dunbar ready to become the next mayor of Anchorage

Is current East Anchorage Assemblyman current chair of Anchorage Assembly ready for Mayor Forrest Dunbar.  Prediction is that Ethan will not complete that final term.  The last interim mayor Matt Claman overloaded all the union contracts which gave us Ordinance 2013-037 which never became law because the Unions wanted to repeal it instead of save money which was the intent of the Sullivan administration.  Matt Claman never survived the primary.  If Ethan decides to run for congress unlike back in 2009 when Mark Begich won as US Senator when there was an automatic mayors election the following year.  This time is Ethan runs and defeats Don Young.  He will not be able to keep his assembly seat and be able to see if he stays as mayor.  His assembly seat is up for election in the same year.  Until April 2019 he will have play dual roles of course they could fill his assembly seat by him resigning.  Remember in 2009 Matt Claman never resigned his assembly seat.  Question who would replace Forrest on the assembly by appointment.  Remember since Forrest was elected to the assembly Ethan has trained him and groomed him to be the next mayor of Anchorage. 

Could Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz run against Don Young this year.

Rumor has it that the National Democrats have asked Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz to run against Don Young. Recently the Anchorage Assembly has made Forrest Dunbar chair which if Ethan wins Forrest would become interim mayor.  Forrest actually would like to become mayor of Anchorage.  Since his election in 2016 Ethan has groomed him for higher office.  In the 2008 and 2014 election that Don Young between Ethan Berkowitz and Forrest Dunbar.  Don Young received only 50 percent of the vote.  Imagine if Alaska was affect by the Blue Wave.  Could Ethan actually pull it off.  Remember if Mark Begich had actually gone for this seat instead of the US Senate he would had won due to the Alaskan Native.  Could Ethan be able to win in places like Hooper Bay, Aniak, Chevak, Ahkiok and Ambler.  Remember in statewide elections it is the Alaska Bush communities that decide who your leader is not the Alaska Railbelt where the population is. 

Anchorage Proposition One has been defeated

Identity, ACLU of Alaska aka Americans against Constitution and Liberty United.  They did a scare campaign to convince Anchorage voters that keeping bathrooms by sex would not be as safe as allowing a registered sex offender to access the bathroom of their choice.  They also believe humans are like fish and change their sex any time they choose.  As they continue to celebrate their victory it will be short lived.  If you see a person in drag go into the same bathroom as your daughter.  That is the new norm in Anchorage.  Watch out for peeping toms. 

Anchorage Baptist Temple has lost its grip in the Anchorage political landscape

For nearly 50 years this church has been the cornerstone of Anchorage politics. If Anchorage politicians tried to pass ordinance that not right with god.  This church would send out its army of righteous people.  Politicians would have to listen.  This church is why Alaska has no death penalty.  Recently as of 3 years ago the Anchorage Assembly in a vote of 9-2.  The Anchorage Assembly voted in a Gender Identity Ordinance this was main reason Ethan Berkowitz ran for mayor was to make sure a fake female and fake male could go into the bathroom of their choice.  Recently they were not able to convince Anchorage to pass Proposition One was a good idea to repeal this ordinance.  Has Anchorage decided to become a modern city not listen to its past.
