Andrew Luck retires to preserve his body for the future

Bottom picture is me in a beard in Luck jersey discounted from Excalibur Sports I bought a year.  Andrew Luck brought the Indianapolis Colts almost every year he played for them.  He was recruited by Indianapolis Colts winning super bowl quarterback Peyton Manning to be his successor.  Andrew had been mentoring Jacoby Brissett who will be the face of the franchise and you can also think Tom Brady who started his career.  I would like to see the Indianapolis Colts back to the AFC Championships which Luck brought you to back in 2014. Andrew is preserving his body to help his kids in the future to think about I bet you he will always be part of Indianapolis future. 

Indianapolis Colts if it was not for Jim Irsay your city would be nothing more than a city with wheat fields.  He gave you a gift instead

Then 2017 while Jacoby Brissett was traded to Indianapolis Colts he was a student of the Tom Brady Quarterback Academy he actually transferred to the Andrew Luck academy who graduated from the Peyton Manning Academy in Louisiana.

 Who  will win a Super Bowl for Indianapolis Colts hopefully will beat Tom Brady this year.  Go Indianapolis Colts.  

Pros and Cons of the final candidates of Chris Birch's State Senate seat

All three finalist are pro full Permanent Fund Dividend supporters and all are mountaineers like the late Senator Chris Birch.  

 David Arthur Donley

Pros about David

 

David has served in the legislature before for 16 years from 1987 to 2003.   He understands the concerns of his neighborhood.  He would be a great friend for teachers and educators in the legislatures.  He also was a fiscal conservative while serving in the legislature. 

Cons about David

If Dave is selected there will be less common sense on the Anchorage School Board.  Andy and Starr could select one of their Beltrami sandwich eating friends to replace him on the school board

Al Fogle 

Pros about Al 

 

Albert is very compassionate about serving his community.  He could provide a fresh perspective in the state senate.  

Cons about Al

Albert is a homosexual this will not fit well with the Jim Minnery crowd who believe family is being important.  Anchorage Baptist Temple could also find a candidate who lives in the district to challenge him in the primary.  This is the reason he lost to Suzanne LaFrance in the 2017 Assembly race.  

 Laddie Shaw

Pros about Laddie

Laddie Shaw is a newcomer to Alaska politics.  He is great parachute jumper.  He is very familiar with the current Alaska budget and issues due to his recent election to the state house in 2018.   

Cons about Laddie

Not enough experience in the state legislature.  

I am sure Governor Dunleavy will choose one of these three great gentlemen on the list submitted by the Alaska Republican Party. 

 

Jay Inslee wants to do what no Washington governor has done in nearly 50 years

Jay Inslee has recently launched a bid for a third term as Governor of Washington.   The last Washington Governor to serve a third term was Dan Evans.  He was elected in 1972 for a third and final term.  Washington State has a three term limit on its governors.  If he accomplishes this he will be the first governor to do this in 50 years.  This could help him seek higher office in the future.  Let's hope common sense happens and Washingtonians will retire him in 2020 instead.  Washington can not afford four more years of Jay Inslee.

Farewell to the Jay Inslee presidential campaign

Jay Inslee was the 2nd native Washingtonian to run for president.  The last Washingtonian person to run for president was the late Henry Scoop Jackson who actually almost got the nomination in 1976 if a Southern Governor was not so charming named Jimmy Carter.  Many reasons this campaign failed to gain traction.  Jay was a single issue candidate.  Usually one issue candidates do not win in most political races.  If Jay had focus more on the environment and other issues that were more important to Democrat voters it would had worked.  Had he focused on gun control he would had gotten more traction.  What he should have done what worked for him that the two times he ran for governor in the State of Washington it would had worked.  He could run again in 2024 and think about no Donald Trump to deal with.  As we bury his campaign in the presidential candidate cemetery where others candidate will soon be having theirs.  Jay made an effort and tried to market Washington to the world.  That he can do as Governor.  He has announced he will run for a third term as governor

Only Spokane Valley and South Pend Orielle County voters have a say with Matt Shea

Matt Shea is well liked in his district.  Liberal Democrats do not Matt's common sense approach.  Matt represents what his district thinks.  He also has the spine to speak for citizens in Eastern Washington include Spokane residents who are ignore by their liberal state representatives and one of them who requires a beer a talk to you.  This Rolling Stone piece is a problem for liberals.  Defend Matt Shea he speak for citizens who are ignore by their own lawmakers. 

Anchorage 19 and 20 year old will have to go to Mat-Su Borough to purchase tobacco products

Today August 20th, 2019 If you are 19 and 20 years old.  You will have travel to the Mat-Su Borough to purchase cigarettes and vaping devices.  Anchorage Police may stop young looking individual to look for cigarettes and vaping devices from cars driving southbound on the Glenn Highway. You have to be 21 years ago to purchase tobacco products.

Two Anchorage Mountaineers fight for citizens of South Anchorage

This article had been in creation for the past 2 1/2 years since both Chris Birch and Jennifer Johnston first ran for the legislature in 2016.  

The tale of these mountaineers when both of these awesome people met as young man and young woman when Chris was living in Fairbanks in the 1970's.  Both had the awesome amazing spirit of the outdoors.  

Fast forward to 2005

In 2005 Chris Birch defeated Dick Tremaine to start his career in the Anchorage Assembly which lasted three terms.  

In 2007 Jennifer Johnston runs for an open seat when Janice Shamberg decides not to run again due to fact she was no longer eligible to run again.  

Both Chris and Jennifer during their time on the Anchorage Assembly may not agree on all the issues facing their district.  They worked together to find solutions for all there residents in their district while they served on the Anchorage Assembly. 

From 2014 to 2016 Chris was term limited and could no longer serve on the assembly advised Jennifer during her last two years in office on issues involving the Assembly district.  

The next adventure of these two dynamic duo

In 2016 both Chris and Jennifer decide to run for seats in their legislative districts

Chris decide to take on an incumbent in the primary named Bob Lynn and won the primary.  I made no endorsement in that race.  I liked both candidates.  

Jennifer ran for an open legislative seat since Craig Johnson ran for the State Senate.  He lost to Natasha Von Imhof in the primary who became state senator.  I did endorse Craig Johnson for the seat.  I did not endorse either Natasha or Roselynn Cacy for that seat in the general election.  She beat Ross Bieling in the primary.  I endorsed Ross in this race.  

Both won their races and began to work together again for South Anchorage this time in the legislature.  Most conservative not happy with some of there votes.  

Then in 2018 Kevin Meyer decided to run for Lt.  Governor.  This change the role of this dynamic duo from South Anchorage.  You know had the two in two different chambers.  You have Jennifer in the house and Chris in the senate.  Both easily won their primaries.  Chris was able to easily defeat Bekah Halat due to a last minute bomb shell of welfare fraud claim.  Jennifer easily defeated Ross Bieling a second time.  I may have to due a South Anchorage version of the Hatfields and McCoys like I did with the Higgins and Milletes in 2016.  The South Anchorage version would be title it is Johnston and Bielings again.  If Ross runs a third time.  

At the time of Chris Birch's death both members of this dynamic duo had recall petitions against them due to their unpopular stance on the permanent fund dividend.  Jennifer's decision to join the Democrat lead house majority and Chris's decision to go to Juneau instead of Wasilla during special session.  Chris's recall campaign has been terminated and Jennifer's is currently on pause.  I am suggested it be terminated as well.  

Both served South Anchorage well in the legislature to the end. Both Chris and Jennifer are doing a great job.
