Anchorage cab customers will have to pay a dollar extra using a credit card in a cab

Anchorage Assembly voted on Ordinance 2016-132 and 2016-140 at the December 20th meeting to add a $1 charge for credit card customers to help the cab companies off set the cost of processing credit cards.  This will happen til probably sometime in March or April 2017.  To avoid this charge you can always pay cash when getting a cab.  Most customers will not even notice the charge.

Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association want Anchorage voters to decide to increase cabs in Anchorage

Recently greedy permit owner Susie Smith one of the owners of Taylor Leasing is sponsoring a referendum to repeal the recent cab ordinance that passed called 2016-124.  They want the people of Anchorage to decide if they need more cabs in Anchorage.  The truth is these owners would rather keep money in their pockets then improve service in the industry.  Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association believe these permits have value when they real do not have any value.  People have ask for improvements in taxi service since 2001 it time to listen to the people not to greedy special interest.  They will need 5700 signatures to get it on the April 2017 ballot.

Anchorage Assembly voted to make it easier a resident to get a cab in Anchorage

December 20, 2016 the Anchorage Assembly voted 8-3 on ordinance no 2016-124 proposed by assemblyman Bill Evans to allow residents to have more access to get cabs.  They found out by putting more permits making them more available will.  Residents will get more cabs at bar break and at busy times.  By increasing the cab  fleet you increase quality in the industry.  There will be plenty of work even with added cabs.  Next year there will be an auction for 20 permits.

Spokane's 8th man warns the citizens of the Spokane City Council of clown acts they have been doing

Spokane 8th man wants to warn the citizens of Spokane of clowns on the City Council.  They perform their scary acts of taking your liberty away each week.  They continue to waste your tax dollars.  The only remedy against this bunch of clowns is the members of Spokane 8th man to counter these clowns.  Every Monday they perform their acts of terror to its citizens through costly ordinances. You also need to listen to the Rick Rydell program on 100.7 FM or 920 AM for instructions how to perform this task against the clowns.

More customers are looking for better quality transportation

Recently Uber has had interest in returning to Anchorage and Vancouver  market.  Local Taxicab Permit Owners Association have put money in local politicians pockets to make it so it does not happen.  They have put money in the pockets of assembly members, mayors, council members and legislatures to make sure that competitors like Uber stay out their market.  The truth is they do not want to improve customer service or make their product nicer.  They would rather deliver lousy service, low paying dispatch workers and make it so drivers have to drive in other places to make income.  Drivers want to be able to have their own business.  Uber demands drivers follow local regulations.  If a municipality requires cars to be inspected then they must be inspected.  They must have proof of commercial driving insurance required by Alaska State Law.  They must have a chauffeurs license to drive a cab in Anchorage.  What the local taxicab permit associations are objecting to is that Uber will take the high end clients away from the taxi service.  The truth is Anchorage and Vancouver need quality transportation service.  Please go tell your lawmakers you want reform in how taxis are regulated and allow competition which keeps the industry healthy.

Automatic Permanent Fund Voter Registration in Alaska will lead to more voter fraud

This proposition on Alaska's ballot in 2016 is being marketed as a easy process to increase voter registration.  Here is the problem you may have over 700,000 people apply for the permanent fund dividend not all are qualified to vote.  Alaska state law requires you to apply for a Permanent Fund after you complete one full calendar year of residency.  This will register felons to vote, minors under the age 18.  This will also make it harder to pass levies and bond measures.  It is interesting that NEA-Alaska supports this however this will make it harder for voters to approve school bonds if passed.  Unless you make it so there is a question instead of doing it automatically.  Majority of registered voters do not go to the polls or vote on a regular basis.  Why would automatic registration increase turn out.  There are some people who choose not to vote.  Some do not vote due to the fact of their religion.  Smart Alaska need to understand that this proposition is legal voter fraud.  If someone wants to register to voter they can do in many ways.  You can already check a box on your Permanent Fund dividend application.

Black Lives Matter loses lawsuit in Ferguson riot

I am glad the judges in Missouri have some common sense tell the bigot racial hate group called Black Lives Matter which is the radical arm of the NAACP that you are not entitled to get money from rioting.  Remember rioting is not a protest.  Vandalism is not protest.  I wonder if Missouri has a loser pays clause like in Alaska.  I would love for the NAACP to have to go into their gold treasure chest in Baltimore and have to pay this town that 41 million imagine what this town could buy from a bunch of racist thugs.  Good job Missouri.  Vandals do not win.
