King County Mental Health Levy Passing

King County Mental Health Levy passing from a special election on April 23, 2023 with 54 percent approval.  We shall see if this will help the Mental Health and major homeless problem that I witnessed in Downtown Seattle last summer which has changed from late maternal Grandma Wanda Carter and my parents took me back in the 1970's and 1980's and my parents as children in the 1950's and 1960's.  You see people just doing anything that people want.  I had my suitcases they thought I was homeless instead of a tourist.  I had to go to Pike Place Market to use the bathroom since the largest Target store in Downtown Seattle does not allow you to use the bathroom as a customer.  Hopefully this will cure that or make Downtown Seattle more like this.

Conservatives who ban books based on content have a dirty mind

As a Library Technician graduate from Spokane Falls Community College.  Any one who challenges the content of a book usually has a dirty mind.  Conservatives who use their bible thumping way to say someone should not read a book have to read the content to object to a book in a public institution.  Libraries are meant to freedom of creativity.  Now days most people who use the library with the exception of school and college library use it for their assignments.  Public Libraries are mainly for the information poor who do not have a computer of their own or want to ability to hold a book in their hand and not own it.  Most people who have a computer have a library onto their computer through the internet now.  When these people object to content in a book they are denying the author the ability to express to the reader.  To those who want to censor a work just look in the mirror and think what is like to be censored by someone.  Not fun is it.

Three National TV Talk Host got canned today at two major cable networks

Today, April 24, 2023 two major cable network announced the departure of TV Opinion host today.

CNN termination of Don Lemon was due to inappropriate comments against women in newscast and created a bad environment for female workers.  Other news personalities like Matt Lauer and Bill O'Reilly have been dismissed from their positions due to similar behavior.

Dan Bongino and Tucker Carlson contracts were terminated due to a settlement that Fox News did with Dominion voting systems for $787 million for telling inaccurate reporting on their system.  Tucker and Dan on their opinion shows had contributed to Fox News not accurately reporting how they count the votes in their newscast.

Dan has a radio show on his own will do fine without making TV appearance plus Rush Limbaugh since the late 1990's avoiding doing regular television appearances had a very successfully mid afternoon radio program except on the West Coast where it was a morning radio program until his death on February 17, 2021.  His last radio program was actually on December 2020. Dan also currently has the same time slot.

Prediction is in six months Don will be on competing network or join News Nation with his former co worker Chris Cuomo.  Tucker will join his former co worker Eric Boling on Newsmax.

We shall see what happens in October to these awesome host.

The only GOP Candidate who can beat any Democrat in 2024

Tim Eyman is the only person who can defeat any Democrat in 2024.  Washington State GOP has not had a good candidate since 2012 when Rob McKenna ran for governor.  Running candidates who have no ability to win a statewide vote that could win a Seattle precinct.  What Washington state needs is a person like Tim Eyman.  He has successfully won statewide initiative campaigns since 1999 in lowering peoples car tabs to $30 per year.  This is with help of the Fagan family in Spokane {by the way Jack Fagan was my student political advisor while my brief time in the Spokane Falls Community College student senate which I spent only one quarter in the early 1990's.} Currently in Washington state, it is time to put a candidate who can actually win a statewide election ... and that is Tim Eyman.  Imagine  the state house and state senate in GOP control in 2025 pass $30 car tabs in the legislature and Governor Tim Eyman as Governor signs into law. Would the Supreme Court rule the $30 car tab unconstitutional if the legislature passed it? No way they would that the legislators were confused.

Tim will slowly restore the destruction the Democrats caused since 2006 when they took over the state house and they have taken over the state senate in 2015 in a special election.  He will allow all special needs students to attend school where they live.  In 2007 the Washington state super majority house repealed the 1979 Small Rural Communities Special Education act which was written by my hometown late state representative Frances North an ERA Progressive Democrat went against her political party at the time.

The current Attorney General have thrown attacks against him to protect big government

It is time for the Republican Party to nominate someone with statewide recognition.  Tim will ensure that government will spend within their means.  He will protect private property rights.  If Tim Eyman is one of the top two choice for the Washington Governor's Governor will the Democrats ignore Tim Eyman?

How to get the body cameras on the Anchorage Police Officers

Recently the Alaska Black Caucus has filed a phony racist lawsuit against the Municipality of Anchorage which has no merit.  Hopefully the judge will say case dismissed.  The Anchorage Department is looking at the legal grounds of putting the body cameras on the police officers.

Here is a concept that may work similar to the taxicab cameras that are required on taxicabs throughout the city.

First of all the officer is provided with five disks to put in the camera gets two more in case he is called off shift to perform duty.  At the end of the week the officer goes to the station turns the used five disks gets five more.

Once the officer puts the disk in the camera that is punch in.  The disk stays in the camera and has the able to record for ten hours or eight hours depending on how low the officer is on the duty.  Let's install some artificial technology in the process this is similar to the taxicab camera where the camera do not turn on until the passenger opens the back set door and driver turns on the meter.  The camera does not turn on until the officer arrives to the call they are responding to according to Anchorage Police Dispatch then the camera turns off after the call is complete which could be all the way til the suspect goes to the station.  Camera does not have to be visible to the suspect nor does the suspect need to have permission.  We have already confirmed that employers have the right to record duties of employees during working hours as long as the camera is not located in the restroom, break area or changing areas.  The time that the camera would automatically turn on without being on a call if a person where to assault the officer or if the officer is involved in a wreck of their cruiser or is injured while on duty this will protect the officer in case the suspect or person says this happen.  Camera will tell the truth what happened in the incident.  Once the officer takes the disk out that is punch out for the day.  We have a pause system for breaks and lunches.  One pause means break and two fast pauses means lunch.   Must do two fast pause to get it off lunch.  We also have to consider safety because we can not make the body cam the primary focus if officer safety is on the line.

Now we have consider what we can give to the public of the officers body cam disk.  The police department will have one year to put the recording of the manual disk to the cloud for archives which will be available for historical records to the paper records, microfiche and microfilm this is necessary to solve cold cases in the future.

Maybe this will help get the body cameras sooner to the Anchorage Police Officers.

Rural America will be able to keep their natural gas stoves in their house

We have good news for rural America.  Since this blog actually represents rural America and the owner of this publication comes from the Snoqualmie and Kittitas Valley.  He currently lives in Alaska.  All of this jurisdiction the 9th circuit court of appeals had stricken a liberal city ban on natural gas stoves on new construction development.  Berkeley, CA the most liberal city in the Western United States that caters to anything that is very Democrat.  I praise the 9th circuit court of appeals they understand the rural areas of America it is cheaper to put a natural gas stoves in houses.  This actually puts a roadblock in what the EPA wants to do to America.  Good job in 9th circuit in understanding Rural America.

Proposed 47 Degree North Project will have less an impact than Suncadia did in the 2000's

This proposed project 47 Degrees North will have less of impact to the local population then Suncadia resort which was proposed to the population back in the early 2000's.  Suncadia contributes to the local community for events and donate to local non profit organizations.  I am sure that Sun Properties will also do same thing.  This development will also give more competition and lower the price of groceries.  There are two gas stations next door to each other that are $1 a gallon difference.  Cle Elum and Roslyn only have convenience stores with only one major grocery store.  Safeway has been known to keep prices high due to being a monopoly in the area and they also have very little improvement in customer service.  This development will allow another major grocery store in the area which will give Safeway competition and lower the price of groceries in the area.  Cle Elum recently in the past couple of years had two major fast food franchises leave this maybe due to COVID-19.  This will also give a boost to the population.  This development will be done in phases not all at once just like with Suncadia.  This did not change the population of the area.  The area in development is completely in the Cle Elum's city limits.  This means that the Cle Elum Planning Commission and City Council has complete control in how this development will happen.  Citizen input will be crucial to how this development will happen.

Cle Elum population

As you can see since 1910 Cle Elum has pretty much stayed around the same population.  Recent population as of 2021 the population is around 2,174.  This development make the city larger will also be able to increase the size of the city back in 1886 Cle Elum's founders imagined one day Cle Elum would one day become a Cascade mountain metropolis.  I am not advocating for a Seattle type of metropolis.  I am predicting if the Cle Elum City Council approves this the population by 2030 will be approximately 5,000 in population.  This development will not change the culture and reason people come to Cle Elum to live or work.n

Roslyn population

My prediction is that Roslyn population may not change very much.  Roslyn population has pretty much stayed the same since the 1970's.  The last mine was closed in 1963.  Roslyn has been historical preserved which has been a frontier western town.  In 1989 this town was used in Northern Exposure it was closest to Talkeetna, Alaska without the cold weather.

South Cle Elum population

Population of South Cle Elum has stayed the same population since its founding.  This development will not change that due to the fact that South Cle Elum has always been pretty a residential community.  The only businesses are home based businesses.  This is how the people in this city want it.

Please tell the Cle Elum City Council to approve this development this will actually help the city grow better.

Thorp, Cle Elum-Roslyn and Easton Washington should consolidate in one school district

This article just got updated on April 13, 2023 originally written in 2011.

Now days with the Socialist Republic of Washington legislature funding less for education.  Smaller school district such as Easton and Thorp have to combine their athletic programs to compete due to not enough players or due to not enough funding.  Here is a solution to this problem.  Have the Easton and Thorp School District's with voter approval from all three school districts consolidate and becoming the Upper Kittitas County School District no 404.   Thorp and Easton could still use their current campus as schools to keep their towns in an identity.  Cle Elum and Roslyn could also have elementary school in their cities this will allow for more room the High and Middle School complex.  Please suggest to your school boards you want consolidation of Upper Kittitas County school district.  This would allow the Upper Kittitas County a stronger presence as one unified school district.  We could move the administration building to Downtown Cle Elum where an old theater is located across the Farm and Home.  The administration could be upstairs.  Performance Art Theatre well the Bullitt Poroduction company could perform and school performance during school season.  With the increase that 47 Degrees North will provide like jobs.  Upper Kittitas County could do what my hometown School District in 1944 that is consolidate Fall City, Snoqualmie, Tokul, North Fork and North Bend into one school district.  This actually helped it to grow the next 40 years without having extra money.

Time to bring common sense back to West Anchorage

It is time to put back common sense back in West Anchorage the last time that happen was when Ernie Hall was on the Assembly in 2016 who was actually a Democrat who understood common sense decided to vote for common sense and agree with Mayor Dan Sullivan who represented this disrict from 1999 to 2008 and Faye Von Gemmigen.  Cheryl Frasca briefly represented West Anchorage for a small period of time.  Brian will represent the whole district not just special interest groups like Austin, Eric, Tim and Kameron have done since 2013.

Brian will represent small businesses in his district and will listen to your concerns.

Brian will provide real solutions to homeless not lip service like the current Assembly has done

Please go drop or mail your ballot by April 4th, 2023 and support Brian today
