If we allow Churches to get involved in Anchorage homeless shelter problem

Imagine if we allow Churches through their non profit organizations like Hope Worldwide Alaska to create shelter services using existing land that they places already own through the Anchorage Municipality.  This will free taxpayer resources then also create tax credits by not taxing the land that the shelter sits on.  Want to solve the homeless problem let the churches take a lead role in the issue.

Will Chelan County legislatures be accessible to Snoqualmie and Skykomish Valley residents?

Let's say the 12th legislative district boundaries are finalized.  Will citizens in North Bend and Monroe have direct access to their lawmakers.  Their is nothing in rules of being a legislature that requires them to have town halls or even offices in areas they represent even though those areas are remote from Chelan County.  The only thing that they are required to do is answer email or communicate by written correspondence to a resident in their legislative district on an issue the person has raised.  The state gives very little for office expenses for legislatures including postage and staff.  They are only required to maintain one office in the legislative district outside of their Olympia office.  If a legislature were to maintain an office outside of that it would have to be at their own expense.  This is according to legislatures I have known over the years when it comes to this issue.  Chances a North Bend, Carnation, Fall City and a Skykomish Valley resident is going to commute to Wenatchee especially in the winter to talk to their lawmakers is very unlikely considering they would have to drive about 70 miles to see their lawmakers.  Remember the state does provide an 800 number during session A separate toll free number would have to paid for by the lawmaker.  Remember each district has a state senator and two house members.  Even if the members shared outside expenses it would require a committee to determine which party is responsible for which expense.  If this finalize let's hope the areas outside of Chelan County will get adequate representation in this crazy 12th legislative district.

Rural Skykomish Valley needs to be in same district as the rest of rural Snohomish and Skagit Counties

                        39th legislative district

The rural Skykomish Valley which consist from Sultan the biggest city east of Monroe all the way to Grotto an unincorporated community near Skykomish.  Even if we can not correct a geography error and put the Skykomish area in the correct county we could at least put it in the right legislative district.

                                       Sultan

                       Upper Skykomish Valley

By putting this area with another rural area on the same side of the Cascades actually makes more sense it allow will increase representation for this part of the state.  By paring it with Chelan County will prevent the area from receiving the representation it deserves.

Monroe needs to be in the 44th legislative district

                                               44th legislative district

The idea of separating Monroe from the rest of the Skykomish Valley does not make since  this city is the   hub of the region.  The main reason is neighborhoods close to the Monroe city limits are in this district plus this will make this district more moderate and put it less in Democrat hands.  Remember before 1992 this is the same legislative district that handed the whole state Maria Cantwell.  She represented this district from 1989 to 1992.

                                     Monroe

The idea that this area will not be represented fairly by sharing legislatures with Chelan County will not get it fair representation in the legislature.

Carnation and Duvall should be in the same legislative district

                                                 45th legislative district

                                  Duvall

                                 Carnation

Carnation and Duvall have shared the same landscape since its founding in the Lower Snoqualmie Valley when it was determined in the 1880's that farm land was cheap east of Seattle near the mountains.  They have been in the same school district since the 1930's.  They have share the same state highway since its founding in the 1880's now called State Highway 203. This area has shared the same weather and flood conditions since its founding.  It only makes since these two cities be in the same legislative district the 45th legislative which have been done since the 1990's.  Putting Carnation in the 45th legislative district actually does not help the Lower Snoqualmie Valley get direct representation.

North Bend and Fall City should be in the same legislative district as Snoqualmie

                                                    5th legislative district

                                 Snoqualmie

                                   North Bend

                                   Fall City

Here is why Fall City and North Bend should be in the same legislative district as Snoqualmie which is the 5th legislative district since have happened since the 1990's.  These three area have been in the same school district since 1944 when three smaller school districts consolidated to have a larger voice in the area.  They share the same river since its founding in the 1890's.  They share the same highways connecting the communities since its founding now known as State Hwy 202.  North Bend and Snoqualmie have shared resources in terms of public safety since I can remember from my growing up days since the 1970's and 1980's.  Since 2012 have had the same police force.  Why should they not be in the same legislative district which will make it better to have direct representation.

The current proposal of putting North Bend and Fall City in the same district as Chelan County will not allow this area to be equally represented.

Urban Meyer's NFL career is similar to Chip Kelly

Many college coaches have a hard time adopting from the college format to the NFL format.  Chip Kelly who coached two teams in the NFL from 2013 to 2016 after having successful seasons at the University of Oregon.  He was not able to adopt to the NFL style.  I wonder if Ohio State will take Urban Meyer back or a college because my recommendation this guy should not get an NFL gig again in the near future.

The Year 1883 was year Washington counties started to develop

The year 1883 six years before statehood was introduced to the great state of Washington.  Remember the 1880 just like the 1920's was booming decade in the Pacific Northwest.  Remember most settlers were not attracted to gold to settle into the Pacific Northwest.  Land sales were cheap in the 1880's.  Towns like Seattle, Bellingham, Spokane, Cheney, Walla Walla, Ellensburg, Yakima and Vancouver were booming with population.  By the end of the 1880's many other towns were created between Seattle and Ellensburg.  In 1886 Cle Elum, South Cle Elum and Roslyn were created on the east side of the Cascades.  On the west of the Cascades Issaquah which was known as Squak the locals changed it to Gilman and then the legislature changed the towns name to Issaquah in 1899 because Dan Gilman did not want a town out of the Seattle area named after him.  My hometowns of Snoqualmie and North Bend was born in 1888 and 1889 which both had the same name until 1903 when the actual Snoqualmie incorporated which according to William Taylor the commissioner was supposed to be Snoqualmie Falls.  In 1890, Burlington Northern put the depot in the wrong spot.  North Bend which was named agreed up was incorporated in 1909 was the original Snoqualmie.

This was suppose to be in North Bend not the actual Snoqualmie.

This depot was actually located in the north part of the city where the Elementary school is located today.  Railroad tracks are still present on the way to EJ Roberts Park one of the trails from the Elementary School.  This was suppose to be where the actual depot was suppose to go.

In 1883 many counties were created mostly in Eastern Washington in SE Washington Asotin County where Clarkston was located near the border town of Lewiston was created by the legislature on October 27th.

November 24th Kittitas County in Central Washington and Lincoln County was created in Eastern Washington from Whitman County from the territorial legislature.

November 28th four days later when they realized that we had too large of counties in Eastern Washington and in NW Washington.  Skagit County was created and Douglas County was created since they ranchers in Lincoln County could not promise that law enforcement could be enforced in a timely manner for people on the east side of the Columbia River and the area that would become Moses Lake later on.  Franklin and Adams county were created because the ranchers wanted more local control of their affairs since commuting to the Paulose was not as easy to bring a suspect to trial.  Remember Spokane was just developing at this time had only a population of around less than 5,000 residents could not bother having to restore law and order west of Cheney at the time.  This is why Lincoln County was formed to protect the interest of the farmers west of Spokane.

As you can see 1883 was important year in Washington's development of eventually becoming a state six years later.

Bad deal for Chelan County, East Wenatchee, Snoqualmie Valley and Skykomish Valley

Recently it has been proposed through the Washington State Redistricting Commission that my hometowns of North Bend, Fall City Census designated area, Carnation, Skykomish Valley be in the same legislative district as Chelan County and East Wenatchee.

                          12th legislative district

                               North Bend

                                  Fall City

                                                                     Carnation

                                   Monroe

                                   Sultan

                              Skykomish

                   Wenatchee and East Wenatchee

Truth is these areas have nothing in common with Chelan County and East Wenatchee.  They all have beautiful scenery and mountains within walking distance.  That is the only thing they have in common.  They are in 3 different counties.  During the winter sometimes Stevens Pass closes when there is too much snow the major crossing from Wenatchee to Everett on US Hwy 2.  North Bend's major highway is Interstate 90.  In the past 100 years there have been attempts to get a major road from the North Bend to the Wenatchee.  This has only resulted in forest service roads in the Wenatchee-Okanogan and Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area.  These short cuts are not maintained by the United States Forest Service.  Fall City and North Bend share a state highway 202 and a school district and a river.  All three cities Fall City, Carnation and North Bend only share a river.  Fall City, Carnation and Monroe share a state highway known as state highway 203.  Monroe and North Bend are major hubs of their areas of region even though North Bend actually shares there hub status with the neighborhood town of Snoqualmie.  North Bend, Carnation, Fall City and Upper Skykomish Valley are in the same county due a geographical boundary fluke back in the early 1900's.  I have always though this area should have been in Snohomish County to unite the whole Skykomish Valley which goes from Monroe to Grotto.

Let's hope that this gets change if not.  Snoqualmie and Skykomish Valley will not have proper representation needed for the area because the candidate from that area would have to campaign in Chelan County and East Wenatchee in order to represent their hometown area.  Would the Chelan County legislators establish offices in North Bend and Monroe to serve the Skykomish and Snoqualmie Valleys.

JUSSIE SMOLLET GETTING READY FOR HIS NEXT ROLE AS PRISON INMATE

The former Empire actor Jussie Smollet was convicted on five counts of filing a false report to Chicago police officers in 2019.  Let's hope a Cook County jury will treat like anyone else who files a false report.  Celebrity status should not matter regardless of crime committed.  I am sure Jussie was a great actor but to pull a stunt like this regardless of your opinion of a political figure to make your acting profile better.  I am glad the industry responded by giving you the boot instead.  I am glad they took my episode idea to get you fired from Empire.  I hope you enjoy your next role as prison inmate in the Cook County Jail system.

Bob Dole, patriot and war hero passed away on December 5, 2021

Bob Dole was born on July 22, 1923 in Russell, Kansas.  He served in World War II was injured during battle in Italy.  Then went to college and was first elected as Russell County attorney.  Then in 1960 was elected to congress and served four terms.  In 1968 was elected to the US Senate and served until he resigned in 1996 after he was the Republican nominee for the US President.  That took courage to risk it all to serve your country for the highest office.  I did not support his bid for the presidency.  I supported another WWII veteran by the name of Ross Perot during that election.  This inspired Dino Rossi to due to the same thing in 2004 during his first statewide campaign for Washington State Governor and current Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy who resigned his state senate seat in 2018 to seek the Governorship. We need more  leaders like Bob who put others first before himself.  Rest in Peace Bob because other veterans are waiting for your arrival.  This country would not be better without your service.

KYLE RITTENHOUSE FOUND NOT GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES AGAINST HIM

Yesterday according to my friends at Newsmax at 1:30pm, Pacific Standard Time.  A Kenosha County Jury ruled that Kyle Rittenhouse ruled him not guilty on all five charges against him.  I guess using Stephen King's It the Clown character to prosecute and make the judge mad does not help your case in prosecuting someone for murder.  There was one charge that they could have found him guilty that was minor in possession of a firearm.  In 2019 when Trump signed the bill raising the age of smoking cigarettes nationwide to 21 nation.  The Pelosi congress stuck a little provision to include guns as well.  This charge was overlooked and probably was dismissed.  I guess with this verdict defending yourself is not a crime and prosecution tried to say it was a planned murder.  I think the fact using a weapon was the last result.  The real people who are at fault was the Kenosha local politicians who allowed ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter to destroy local business and refused to prosecute them.  I am sure after the verdict was read today ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter a group sponsored by Black Radicals not the local NAACP and supported by Progressive Democrats who believe that higher crime less accountability for criminals is the best way to go.  Remember according to the 2nd amendment you have the right to defend yourself if being threatened.

COVID-19 has changed the concept of Black Friday sales nationwide

Since 2020 Black Friday has not been done the tradition that the day after Thanksgiving is the day that stores have sales everywhere.  Places like where I work at Walmart used to require there employees to work on Thanksgiving or face disciplinary action.  Since 2020 these retailers have giving their employees the day off most without pay to spend quality time with their families.  Which I am glad for it means Football watching.  Let me tell you retailers are actually making more money this way instead having to hire private security just for one day.  This is bad for private security companies who bank on retailers because they can charge a higher rate for one day security instead of the 365 day contract that large retailers have as backup security to the stores loss prevention team.  Which I am member of at the Debarr Walmart.  This has been better for customers due to the fact they have been able save money through multiple days instead of just one day.  Shop and if the store requires wear a mask while shopping if do not want then shop online.  Remember these stores are private business your constitutional right not to wear a mask does not exist on private property only public property but do not tell Liberal Democrats this.

Could the Opioid settlement make Fergie the next Governor of Washington State

Could the $38 billion Opioid settlement which was led by Attorney General Bob Ferguson if Dictator Jay Inslee decides not to seek a 4th term become the next Governor.  He got into fame between 2017-2021 suing Donald Trump Administration every time he proposed a common sense idea and used his judge shopping ways to get the ruling he wants do it that is what Democrats do best.  This is how Chris Gregiore became elected governor in 2004 she was the chief advocate in the tobacco settlement in the 1990's.  Which resulted in the banning of cigarette vending machines required a ban on advertising in print media and required all stores regardless of size to put cigarettes behind the counter to make sure only employees over the current age of 21 was allowed to sell them.  This age of 21 to buy cigarettes written by congress and signed by Trump in 2019.

Let's hope for Washingtonians that Dictator Jay Inslee chooses not to run in 2024.  Then Bob Ferguson would be the front runner for Washington State Governor now his opponent I hope will be Brandi Kruse in the Washington State Governors Race.

Unless common sense Washingtonians can not market Brandi to win the governors race with the keyboard of this blog with his many channels to make her the next governor.

Historically the Attorney General position has always led to a higher office in Washington.   The late Slade Gorton was Attorney General from 1969 to 1981 then defeated a long term incumbent Warren Magnuson who served the state in the US Senate from 1945 to 1980. Served from 1981 to 1986 then was elected again 1988 served from 1989 to 2000.  Chris Gregiore was a three term Attorney General from 1993 to 2005 before being elected Governor. Now Fergie who has served as Attorney General since 2013.  All the Attorney Generals served three terms in their office before getting elected to a higher office.

Cle Elum elects a newcomer write-in for city council

Sarah Lackey who entered late at the encouragement of friends in a form of a write in candidate through grassroots fundraising.  She is a concerned parent and local real estate broker who wants to bring common sense to her city hall.  She is currently leading by 27 votes over the establishment candidate Elizabeth Kurtz she will be officially confirmed when the Kittitas County Auditor certifies the results on November 24th.  I also know that current council members will listen to her idea hopefully agrees with her. She will bring the fresh perspective similar to what Leah Hadfield did in 2017 won as a write for her only term on the Roslyn City Council in its sister city.  She brought a fresh voice and some common sense to it like Nolan Weis has done that last 10 years to Roslyn.  Congrats to Sarah because she will be what Cle Elum actually needed on the city council.

Most Americans reject Democrat ideas in recent voting elections

In the recent elections candidates promoting the woke agenda like de funding the police department and critical race theory lost big.  Seattle elected Anna Davison a Republican attorney and Bruce Harrell wins the Seattle Mayors race.  Parents choice in education is why Glenn Youngkin won in the Virginia governor's race.  Most Americans also reject Covid-19 mandates which is why Phil Murphy almost lost reelection as Governor of New Jersey.  Remember most Americans want their police funded.

Plastic bag becomes an outlaw again in Anchorage

The plastic bag will once again become an outlaw in Anchorage starting Septemeber 1st.  If you want a bag at a grocery store you must pay 10 cents a bag up to 5 bags maximum amount to be 50 cents a transaction.  Unless you are an EBT customer then the bags are free per transaction.  The Anchorage Assembly did not listen to public on this matter.

Lorena Gonzales will continue to put Seattle in an unsafe path as Seattle's Mayor

Lorena does not believe that Seattle will be safer with more police office.  She wants to reduce them further and keep the city unsafe.  She also wants price jobs out of Seattle by taxing corporations who want to do business in Seattle.  This is why many business have left Seattle.  Many small businesses have left Seattle because of the lack of security and safety.  We need to bring the city back to the glory days you can do that by voting for Bruce Harrell for mayor.

Seattle needs a real leader to the city back its glory days

Back in the 1970's to the 1990's Seattle was a clean city that people could enjoy themselves.  Bruce has always represented what Seattle used to be like.  It is time we have someone who is committed to bring this city forward instead of dividing this community and refusing to address the public safety concerns.  Bruce will help bring back businesses in Downtown Seattle.  My maternal grandma Wanda Carter had lived in the city from 1976 to 1996 in the Green Lake neighborhood.  I remember a clean city with not much trash.  Law enforcement proud of doing their jobs instead of being trashed by local officials.  Bruce will also bring culture back to the city like the bands that have come from the city.  Bruce will represent all of Seattle not just the International district he comes from.  His previous experience on the Seattle is a plus.  He also endorsed by many powerful politicians within Western Washington.  Please Seattle want to return it back to the glory days you can do that with Bruce Harrell in the mayors office.

Sawant does not need a friend on the Seattle City Council

Kshama Sawant does not need a friend on the city council.  Nakkita Oliver will provide that on the city council.  She will not vote in the city's interest instead will allow the current status quo.  She believes the homeless should be allow to camp where ever they want.  To prevent Seattle from becoming unlivable you need to vote for Sara Nelson for city council for position 9.

Could the Anchorage Assembly propose a mask mandate in Anchorage

If an Assembly member gets 7 of his friends on the Anchorage Assembly to impose a mask mandate it can not become law without mayor David Bronson's blessing.  Get ready to wear a mask all over town in Anchorage again

Will Anchorage Mayor eventually choose public safety over freedom of choice when it comes to mask mandate

Will Dave Bronson eventually realize that public safety of its residents is more important than freedom of choice.  Soon he will realize that cases are climbing will soon propose a mask mandate on all city facilities.
He should have a fireside chat at his home in Eagle River and explain what a mask mandate is needed at city facilities.  He could also mention if a person goes into a business insist someone wear a mask where it is not required then they are to fined for mask bullying.

Who will be Seattle's next Municipal Attorney?

                                                        Ann Davison

                        Nicole Thomas-Kennedy

Due to the recent defeat of Pete Holmes in the Seattle City Attorney race.  Seattle will have a new municipal attorney starting in December.

They can decide to keep status quo and elect Nicole Thomas-Kennedy wants to keep the crime rate high and not prosecute low level crimes like shoplifting which will lead to higher prices on goods and services.  She wants to prosecute property owners for raising the rent on tenants when the city council makes it no longer affordable for tenants to provide housing to its citizens.

Seattle could choose to actually prosecute criminals by actually electing someone who will punish criminals and actually make a dent in Seattle's homeless problem by electing Ann Davison.

It is your choice Seattle either stay the status quo and keep your city unlivable or elect someone who will put criminals away in November's election.

Current Seattle City Attorney defeated in city primary election

Recently in Seattle municipal primary election on August 3, 2021 currently Seattle municipal attorney has been defeated in his bid for another term in this office.  He is currently running behind Ann Davison the top vote getter and endorsed by the Republican Party and Nicole Thomas-Kennedy who wants a higher crime rate for Seattle.

Keeping Teresa Mosqueda on the Seattle City Council would be a disaster for Seattle

Keeping Teresa Mosqueda on the Seattle City Council would be a disaster for Seattle.  She is one of the reasons Seattle continues to be declined and has tolerated the terrible condition of Seattle looking like crap.  Garbage on the streets, refusing to close homeless encampments that have made it difficult for residents.  Seattle residents and businesses that have common sense have left Seattle.  Teresa has been part the problem at city hall.  To solve this problem you need to support Ken Wilson for this position.  She has supported to defund the Seattle Police Department.  The current city council did nothing during the time CHOP occupied a mile of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.  She is responsible for why Seattle has an unfriendly business environment.

It is time to put Ken Wilson in the Seattle City Council

Ken Wilson is the person that Seattle needs in one of its two at large city council positions.  Ken will bring common sense back to the city council and help Bruce Harrell bring Seattle back to the glory days before the year 1996 when the common people started to leave Seattle.  I remember as kid up to my 20's Seattle was a place people wanted to live.  Now it is looks like crap.  I used to visit Seattle often to visit my maternal grandmother Wanda Carter we would see the awesome sites of places all around the city she lived in the Green Lake neighborhood.  I grew up 30 miles away to the east in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Please vote to put Ken Wilson in the Seattle City Council make this city better again.  Remember he is only accepting contributions from Seattle residents.  Please tell your friends to vote for Ken Wilson in November and take your city back.

Could Elvi Gray-Jackson entry in the Alaska US Senate race tells us what Lisa's plans for 2022 really are?

Could Elvi Gray-Jackson deciding to get into the US Senate race tell us that Lisa Murkowski will not be seeking reelection in 2022.  Remember the Democrats need a candidate to get behind if Lisa decides to endorse Elvi for US Senate.  She is already receiving support from my home state senators of Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray.  Rumor has it that Lisa Murkowski could have any position in the Biden administration if she asked for like Secretary of Energy, Bureau of Land Management she would be better than that tree spiker Tracy Stone-Manning who wants to rename the agency the Bureau of protected forest.  She could replace Deborah Holland as Interior Secretary plus she is better looking.  If Elvi gets Lisa Murkowski's support she could win against Kelly Tshibaka unless Sarah Palin chooses to get into the race.  She has the ability to attract the Alaska native vote which is what wins elections in Alaska.
Could Lisa Murkowski retire from the US Senate next year?

McDonald's closed two locations in Anchorage Walmart stores

April 2021 McDonald's decided to close all locations inside of Anchorage Walmart stores.  Currently no food tenant has come forward to offer to lease these spots.  Currently the Walmart stores are using the space to promote specials in both stores located at 3101 A Street and at 8900 Old Seward Highway.

Walmart does offer fresh cooked food in their deli at both these locations that are open between 6am and 11pm.  All of the employees were the McDonald's were where successfully transferred to other locations there were no job losses over the closure of these two locations.

Environmental Groups tell Americans that Native Groups are against Alaska mineral development

Environmental groups are lying to Americans to Alaskans by saying that Alaskan natives are against Arctic development when the truth is most want Alaska and American to be self sufficient. Most American oil companies can develop oil responsibility.  Alaska has the highest environmental standards in the country.  Federal regulations require an oil company to report if a teaspoon of oil drops on the ground on any field that is drilled on.  Many companies have to a federal impact statement.  It is time to stop believing these environmental organization that industry can not work with the environment that is hog wash.  Most Arctic nations including Russia have large environmental laws and regulation that includes Norway, Sweden and Finland.  Please support Alaska being able to develop responsibility.
