Drugs should never be prescribed for Autism

As once an autistic child.  Drugs do not help the autistic child or may them function better they actually do the opposite.  They prevent the child from learning and keep the child stupid.  Later on the child has to become dependent of the government and be a burden of our taxpayer dollars.  The only drug that can help an autistic children is a parents love.  Let the child act out they actually will calm down by themselves.  Drugs do not help the behavior but love from a parent will.  Talk to the special needs child like a normal human being.  Do make the child feel special or more important.  Most of these children just want to fit in and be normal.  Focus on their talents and encourage that talent.  Then slowly introduce new things to do.  The way you confuse an autistic child is to constantly change things around them.  Most will either shut down when too confused or will not participate.  This will do the opposite of being a productive citizen.  Remember if the doctor says your autistic child should take a drug.  Tell the doctor no thanks just only give the child love a natural drug.  These children can function normally if given the right environment.

Spokane should continue to house inmates at Geiger Correctional Facility

Spokane needs to keep inmates housed at Geiger Correctional Facility.  This facility has been paid in full my Spokane County taxpayers many times over.  Housing inmates locally is better for the families so they can visit them.  Usually most inmates family live close by and having them moved to Benton County would actually make it harder for family member to visit them.  Instead of saving money and moving the inmates.  Please tell your city council to keep the inmates at Geiger Correctional Facility.  This would also present less of a headache for Spokane County because closing this facility would cause some correctional employees to lose their jobs.  This place has been a work release facility and has help inmates become better productive members of society.  The other alternative would be for Spokane County to allow more halfway house to house low risk offenders.

Child vaccinations should be a parents choice

Since we are hearing more stories that vaccines are not helping children against disease and create new disabilities.  Some children that have labeled autistic due to a bad reaction.  We have a problem most public schools required childhood vaccinations or they will not admit the child.  Some middle schools and high school are requiring juvenile females to have the HPV vaccination or they can not attend public school.  Their is only one state Texas that requires this so far thanks to Governor Rick Perry a former presidential candidate for 2012.  Please demand your local school district no longer require vaccinations to admit your children.  This should be a choice of the parent.  As a person who was one of the first to be labeled autistic at Seattle's Children's Hospital in 1975 as an autistic pioneer.  One of the first children enrolled in the Snoqualmie Valley School District with this condition.  My mother was one of the founders of Children Services of Sno-Valley now known as Encompass NW.  Please tell Texas school to stop requiring vaccinations for females against the HPV virus.  This vaccination has caused bad health effects on many females who have gotten the Guardsil vaccine such as permanent sterility or having a complete or partial hysterectomy due to the side effects and other problems in their lower abdomen and possibly ovarian removal of one or both of them lead to becoming a female eunuch

Some people will say if the child is not vaccinated they will infect the other kids.  The real question is since most disease have been wiped off due to great improvements in technology today.  Are vaccinations necessary for disease that either do not exist or have not resurfaces with in the last thirty years.  The answer is no.

The choice to vaccinate a child should be up to the parent not the morons in school district bureaucracy that are over paid should be laid off.

Hey Girdwood residents tired of getting shafted by the Municipality of Anchorage

Hey Girdwood residents tired of getting by the Municipality of Anchorage.  Since 1974 when Anchorage decided to annex the borough into the city.  It has left residents in Chugiak, Eagle River and Girdwood residents shafted.  State charter required all cities to provide police protection within the city limits of a municipality.  Anchorage however does not do this in Girdwood.  Their is no Anchorage Police Department sub station and they is no squad in dealing with Girdwood.  The Alaska State Troopers provide police protection for Girdwood.  Their is also no medical center for Girdwood residents if a Girdwood residents wants medical care you have to spend nearly $2000 on an ambulance and head to an Anchorage hospital.  People in Girdwood need to have Providence Alaska Medical Center put a clinic their to save residents medical dollars.  If Girdwood resident want something for their community they have to ask the rest of Anchorage municipality permission to have it. If the mother ship says no it means no for Girdwood even if Girdwood residents voted for it this is the same problem for Eagle River and Chugiak.   You need to first of contact an assembly member that will ignore you since they live in South Anchorage not Girdwood unlike Eagle River and Chugiak who have two assembly members.  Girdwood actually has a non functioning community council that the Anchorage Assembly ignores most of the time.  Voters in Girdwood need to form a committee get signatures and have a local election to ask the residents if want to become part of the Kenai Peninsula Borough.  If the majority of the residents say yes then propose to the Kenai Peninsula assembly to annex the Girdwood area.  The state legislature must adjust the borough boundaries due to resident demand.  If the Kenai Peninsula borough voters vote in favor of annexing you.  The people in Girdwood will have better representation and possibly the Girdwood and Hope may even have direct representation in the Kenai Peninsula borough.  Please express to the Municipality of Anchorage we want to be in the Kenai Peninsula Borough where Girdwood residents will have a voice.

Each major municipality and incorporated borough should be able to do their own autopsies in Alaska

Every major municipality in Alaska outside of incorporated Alaska borough and incorporated Alaska Borough should have a coroner or an independent medical examiner.  The reason is Alaska only has one medical examiner which is in Anchorage when an autopsy has to be done.  The body has to be flown to Anchorage instead of examined locally.  If each incorporated borough had a coroner or a medical examiner this would allow autopsies to be done locally.  For instance in places when their are no incorporated borough major cities like Bethel, Valdez, Dutch Harbor and Nome could have the autopsies done at a local hospital.  Places like Fairbanks, Juneau, Kenai Peninsula, Matanuska-Susitna and Kodiak Island Borough each had their own coroner or medical examine they could have their murder cases solved sooner and not have strain their resources on a Statewide medical examiner in Anchorage.  The statewide medical examiner can then be Anchorage Municipal Coroner or medical examiner can concentrate on Anchorage cases only.  Please tell your state legislature you want your borough or municipality to start being able to do autopsies.

Children with Autism should learn with other students in a public school setting

The best way to educate a child with mild autism like myself is to put them in the same classroom as other students.  Instead of putting these kids in a resource room where they can be labeled.  Most children with special needs do not like to be labeled in any way shape or form.  If a child is not audible by age ten then they should put them in a school where they can learn to communicate.  Most teachers once they learn how a mild autistic child learns can easily adapt their teaching styles to help these students.  Most of these students prefer to be in a regular classroom and can keep up with most students in the classroom.  Some educators feeling isolating these students or drugging them to learn does not help it actually does the opposite.  Some social workers also feel having these children collect social security benefits helps their expenses no it does not.  Most of these students want to be normal do not want to have to prove they are.  Most autistic children and adults want to treated like everyone else not be labeled or use excuses for their disability.  They just want to be treated normally.  This is how you should educate them.  Special education really needs to downsized and if a child really needs a special learning environment then a special school needs to be established to house these students otherwise mainstreaming is the best option.  Reducing the funds for special education actually saves taxpayer dollars and help the mild autistic child the best.

Hey Alaska Department of Transportation please put roundabout at Debarr and Muldoon Intersection

Hey East Anchorage you know North Bend has a roundabout has improve traffic congestion at the intersection of North Bend Way and Cedar Falls Way in the east end of North Bend.

East Anchorage residents are asking for a roundabout at the intersection of Muldoon and Debarr Rd.  Yes a traffic signal would also be required.  Plus the land to the east is still for sale so you would not have to worry about cutting into landowners land or anything like that.  You can also move the Muldoon neighborhood marker about 500 feet to the east to make this work.  If you want an example how a traffic signal works with a roundabout try the intersection of State Route 903 and Bullfrog Road between Roslyn and Cle Elum in Washington State.  Maybe the State of Alaska needs to hire a planner from Washington State to plan their roads.

Here is a picture of the Muldoon and Debarr Intersection

If Washington and Oregon lower the estate taxes

It seems that cities like Portland and Seattle are having a hard time selling their houses.  This is due to the fact their tax policies are socialist and close to communist.  The state legislatures of Oregon and Washington are no better here.  If you lower the property taxes in King, Multnomah as well as the states of Washington and Oregon they will be sell their houses or better yet increase the amount of people.  The truth is Portland and Seattle lost population in the last ten years.  Most are either moving out of the state or moving out their cities.  Yes, Washington State gained a new congressional district.  However Oregon stayed the same like they have in the past thirty years.  This is due increase population growth in Eastern Washington not Western Washington.  Who got the new congressional district you guess it the Olympia area.  The increases were east of the Cascades the West of the Cascades.  You want to keep your residents lower the taxes and want people to sell homes lower the taxes.

All libraries in Kittitas County should form a library district

Currently all four Kittitas County libraries operate separately.  However if Roslyn, Cle Elum, Ellensburg and Kittitas decided to form a library district or become part one of the largest library cooperatives in Washington State called the North Central Washington Regional Library.  This would make it so rural areas in Kittitas County would receive the proper training and professional library service.  Cle Elum in 1994 had this chance if they would have hired me as their Library Director.  This also will give them a chance to have taxing authority.  Please consider uniting all of Kittitas County libraries into a library district this will make it independent of city governments.  This makes so that people who live in South Cle Elum and people living outside of Ellensburg from having to pay extra to receive library service.
