House Democrats give Geran Tarr a pass on complaint

Alaska House Majority Democrats have given Geran Tarr and Feather a pass on a recent ethics complaint at a Mountain View street fair.  Her staff had used decided to be on state payroll to help participate in a street fair.  Geran and her staff are not ordered to pay the state back for using state time.  Her is the real reason for the slap on the wrist.  She is needed to become speaker or minority leader since she is in a safe Democrat seat. Had this been a Republican the book would had been thrown at them.

Voters say no port district for me

In a special election voters voted down 3 to 1 yesterday April 24th.  Kittitas County voters decided no port district for you.  This leaving the local chambers of commerce with the ability of promoting tourism of the county which is what a port district would had provided.  This county just like for library service does not want to pay extra taxes to promote tourism in the county.
