Trump taps three Washington State legislators to help with administration

Congrats to Eastern Washington State Senator Brian Dansel who has taken a job as a special assistant to the Department of Agriculture.  His expertise will bring back timber jobs to Eastern Washington.  His district has had a hard time keeping jobs due to excessive federal regulations.

Two other state senators one is a Whatcom State Senator Doug Erickson and former Vancouver State Senator and former state GOP chairperson Don Benton will take an advisory role to help restructure the EPA.

It is great that President Trump is taking talented Washingtonians for input to make America great again.

Could the Department of Agriculture go back to its role before 1964?

This department was started in 1789 by George Washington to help out farmers.  Then in the early 1900's a progressive president Theodore Roosevelt had this agency start inspecting food processing plants to make sure the food is what is on the label.  In 1946 Congress directed this agency to be the authority of nutrition in relation to the National School Lunch Act and help developed the food pyramid in the 1950's.  In the Great Society this agency was in charge of distributing food stamps.  Maybe we can get this agency back to its original purpose which is to help out the nation farmers that is it.

Could the Environmental Protection Agency be an extinct species soon

President Trump has already shaken up activities at the EPA.  No social media post by employees.  Media not allowed near the agency.  Could this be the first agency to go in a Trump administration. Most Americans believe this an intrusive agency needs to go away.  No more global warming projects and projects that prevent the American economy.  Only the House and Senate can actually shut down an agency.  The executive branch can weaken an agency.
