Municipalities should not make positions on statewide ballot measures

Municipalities should not make positions on statewide ballot measures.  The reason is this is not a function of government.  Government only responsibility is to protect the freedoms of an individual not to obstruct freedoms or restrict them.  Too make sure citizens are protected with adequate police, fire protection and make sure the roads are properly maintained.

This land is our land not the US Forest Service

Here is a picture of Mt Si near North Bend it is in a national forest.  Would I get fined for this picture because I took it in North Bend in 2012.  When I read this from a friend of mine from Spokane's Facebook page this morning.  I could not believe it.  Fining people for taking pictures of scenery.  Who gave this bureaucracy called the United States Forest Services the authority to fine people who take pictures of scenery.  This land is my land not the US Forest Service.  Mentioning that a picture been taken can harm the fragile echo system.  Maybe you should like my favorite radio host from Spokane have a gun on that camera so when you take a picture of some awesome scenery you also get dinner at the same time.  I will take some bear, deer, elk and moose with that picture please.  Environmentalist need to get their nose out of forest planning process.  Their thinking is why we have more wildfires each year.  Before the Clinton administration the forest used to sell logging permits to logging companies if they felt an area needed to be logged and sometimes would do controlled burns to keep the forest looking healthy.  Now ever since the environmentalist have controlled the Forest Service agenda it has lead to unbalanced echo system and increased wildfires as nature tries to weed the good growth from the bad growth.

Alaska GOP has just embarrassed themselves in a crazy lawsuit

Today, September 26th a couple of Alaska GOP members decided to take the Insanity ticket of Walker and Mallott to court wasting the Anchorage Superior Court time about the legality of the insanity ticket. The judge ruled today that the insanity ticket may continue and the Alaska GOP has just got embarrassed in the courtroom.  Now if we could get this same to require the GOP to open their primary or to require a blanket primary window which is what the state constitution calls for.

TriMet here is an idea eliminate transfers do a day passes instead

TriMet may one of high priced board of directors needs to visit the Metro Transit System in Seattle or go to Alaska ride the People Mover transit system in Anchorage.  Both Seattle and Anchorage eliminated transfers covered to day passes at a reasonable rate of $5 you ride all day.  This is much better than having a transfer that expires in two hours.  Sometimes drivers would have the discretion to extend it.  It also eliminates excess garbage in the fare boxes.  It saves money for the riders and it also increase ridership.  Portland like most Pacific Northwest cities with the exception of Seattle has seen a decrease in ridership due to unfriendly transit policies.  Allow these day passes to be used on the MAX line as well as the buses.  You increase ridership and increase revenue.  Then Mr Sizzler can just his big shot salary that Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington County taxpayers can not afford but must pay.
