Let's call this awesome Cle Elum landmark after a great local teacher

Cle Elum you have an awesome landmark which this awesome community has performances.  Robert Michel Nevills who actually like to be called Mike.  He taught many years in Cle Elum High School in Social Studies, Drama and English from the 1970's to around the 2000's.  He was most relaxed during my last quarter of Senior Year in Drama. The Vogue Theatre was actually his idea.  I am glad to see another teacher who was my Senior Class advisior Jim Miller continuing his work by directing local performances.  Let's keep the name the Vogue Theatre but below the name put the name Robert Michel Nevills below the Vogue in honor his commitment to the local Theater and Arts in the Upper Kittitas County.  Today, January 5, 2016 while sitting at a Dairy Queen with my dad I found that my late Granddad Marion's organ that use to be in the Living Room when you came into the main living room at my Grandma's house.  That organ was donated to the theater.  Top picture was in 1923 this theater was build originally as the Lane Theatre.

You must be in Cle Elum

If you see a person cross nearly half way across to cross the street.  You must be in Cle Elum.  Due to large streets if the merchants does not plow the sidewalk you see them walk on what most cities would be the sidewalk on First Street.  You must be in Cle Elum.

If a local or someone does a good deed ask where you offers you a ride.  Then you offer to pay.  They refuse your money.  You must be in Cle Elum. this bit also works for Ellensburg too actually.

People very most friendly even the dog unless you piss of the dog's owner.  You must be in Cle Elum.

If you see someone who is helping someone who is struggling to load an item in their vehicle without being asked or will help push vehicle out of the ditch or stuck on tires.  You must be in Cle Elum.

If you see people not use the push walk sign on to cross the street on the South side of the Pennsylvania Avenue and First Street.  You must be in Cle Elum.

If you hear or see snowmobiles running on Railroad Avenue single file.  You must be in Cle Elum.

In short story I hope you enjoy this Cle Elum version of You might be a Redneck.  Cle Elum and Roslyn is where I graduated high school I will always along with the Snoqualmie Valley towns of  North Bend and Snoqualmie my actual hometown.

Twenty years ago on January 5, 1996, Jeff Foxworthy went on stage in front of the nation with the comedy routine called You must be a Redneck.  This made him a star.

Anchorage Mayors Office and City Clerks needs to quit playing politics with referendums

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku_HAXLFEA8

When you get elected to office or appoint to a office that deals with the public like a municipal clerk or an attorney.  You serve the taxpayers of that jurisdiction.  In my home state that is an elected official know as a County Clerk in some municipalities have an elected position called a city clerk.  Maybe Anchorage need to have elected city clerk and city attorney.  My adopted home town of Cle Elum and Seattle is the city attorney is elected to a 4 year tern why not Anchorage?.  Maybe Anchorage needs to have their Municipal Clerk elected not appointed by the Assembly.  You have two referendums that have been submitted for signatures one is the LGBT Ordinance and the other is legalize Uber.  If citizens want a voice they should have it.  Bernadette Wilson who recently was fired by KFQD because they want to become a progressive radio station.  Want evidence look at the Anchorage Mayors race why did KFQD not throw out Casey Reynolds for being rude to Amy Demboski.  Dave O'Malley a friend of mine has submitted language to allow a competitive taxi service.  The real reason Anchorage Taxi Cab permits owners do not like Uber.  It allows the driver to be the owner cutting out the middle man.  The current taxi system in Anchorage is not working.  New Years Eve, PFD time between October and November more customers than cabs.  Anchorage has plenty of business.  Uber proved it.  Guess what Uber drivers were nicer than Alaska Yellow Cab and Anchorage Checker Cab driver that is a factoid.  When Uber left those driver started acting rude all again.  Uber makes drivers nice.  You do not want to be nice to customers then customers will go to drivers that are.  Most cab drivers are nice that is a fact.  I have a few confrontations with a few drivers been idiots.  Here is what the referendum needs to say for the LGBT initiative.  Should Anchorage AO 2015-96 (S) become law yes or no.  Vote yes you support ordinance.  Vote no you do not support it.  It worked for the recent Anchorage Ordinance 2013-37.  Even conservatives like Amy Demboski and myself felt people should vote on it.  In November 2014 people voted no.  Big Labor won.  In 2012 58 percent said no LGBT ordinance.  Put these on the ballot are you afraid Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owner Association that Uber might outspend you.  I am sorry it sucks to have an even playing field.  Liberals talk about equality unless it does not go there way then they do not want a level playing field.  Arben Lena saying quacks like a duck.  Yes Uber is a taxi your idea has not worked for over 40 years in Anchorage why not.  Are you afraid they might better than you.  Competition makes business.  Uber is good for Anchorage.  Anchorage can have up to 400 cabs guess what still enough business pal.  This pie crap is garbage you know.  You have a former dispatcher that agrees Uber and common sense taxi driver who want to have their own business.  That is the American and Alaskan way.  Guess what ATPOA your days are number when Uber initiative buy the way.  Uber may have gotten in trouble with the State of Alaska.  Guess what maybe they should go after Alaska Yellow Cab and Anchorage Checker Cab for the same garbage they did Uber.  Uber was following the law.  They were going have a dispatch center here in Anchorage not run it from San Francisco they added jobs.  In every major market they have a call center.  They have call centers in Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane and Boise as soon as the politicians quit screwing around in Portland one there.  Uber will employ up to 50 people as call takers and dispatchers.  Local drivers would have a local person to talk to in an emergency.  That was the concern I had too.  If an Uber driver got shoot like back in 1999 you had three Alaska Cab shootings.  In 2001 Alaska Cab became the first technology provider.  These call takers would be more like local experts if they say a destination not on the app.  You can email the person.  They call the person send the cab there.  Uber shows up.  No more sending 10 cabs to Tudor Road Bingo and only 2 show up because the dispatch companies put out a general message you see the same message.  If 6 customers want a cab at Tudor Road Bingo you send six cabs period.  The dispatch companies call it high traffic or problem area.  Really called discrimination based where the call is.
