Welfare participants should have their benefits stripped if caught doing risky activity

I will tell you most of the country has made it tougher to get on public assistance since welfare reform was passed. We now electronic disperse the money which is make less like the money falls in the wrong hands. We need to go much further that is eliminating Social Supplementary Income this is a fraud program and most on this program can work they just choose not to. Most claim fake disabilities such as alcoholism, bi polar disorder, multiple personality disorder since the Cybil case was made up by a psychologist and ADHD which is a bureaucrat disease to get free access to money and free health care while they buy drugs and cigarettes. I applaud the decision of Governor Schwarneger of California from blocking Quest card access from casinos and strip club. In September, Washington State DSHS secretary has asked tribal and private gambling outfits to block access to Quest card. Since it is against Washington State Law to spend public assistance money for gambling operations. Now you could monitor the activity by having ten people look up account at random and if they see a spending transaction investigate the address of the withdrawal if it at a casino then terminate the benefit and require them to pay their benefits back. However, I would go one step further that is find out who on dole is going there and terminate their benefits. All states should require participants to sign a contract that they should only receive public assistance for two years time. They should be require to wear an ankle monitor this includes there children as well. Alaska could require that they sign over their permanent fund dividend to get benefit this includes the child dividend as well this is to pay the state for taxing care of the participants. They must enroll in job training and must be working within two years from the roll date. This is a one time program with no extensions. You can be terminated for doing risky behavior walk into a strip club, casino, buy cigarettes, alcohol, drugs exception of drugs recommended by a doctor and spending money on taxicabs. Eventually we need to eliminate these programs of the Great Society that are choking the American taxpayer.

Schools need to have more secure procedures before releasing children to parents during the day

A lot of kidnapping cases are happening more due to the fact most families are now raised in single parent homes.  Sometimes parents use children as pawns in getting back at each other.  The children suffer because.  First I want to applaud the Beacon Hill Elementary School in Kelso north of Portland for looking out for the welfare of kids first.  If a child needs to be released from school then the parent should notify the administrators by e-mail and receive a conformation that the request has been granted before they can be released.  This should also include child protective service caseworkers as well.  The exception should be law enforcement unless they have a child protective service caseworkers with them then a parent should be present during inquiry so the story can not be twisted by the caseworker.  Child Protective Service caseworkers goals are to tear families apart.

Everyplace needs better signs for people to see the road conditions in an alert

Washington State Department of Transportation has decided that driver safely is very important. You can see roads conditions and if there is an missing child alert. However if would like the DOT crews in Pacific County to have a bulletin every half hour asking where is Joan Leigh Hall and who murdered Elana Jacobs and Theresa Kruse. DOT crews in Thurston, Mason and Grays Harbor Counties every half hour could have an enhanced picture of Lindsey Baum to get people aware of the missing case. DOT crews in the Puget Sound mainly near the Tacoma area can have an enhanced picture of Angela Mae Meeker every half hour in the missing case who is about 45 years old. DOT crews in the Spokane area can have an enhanced picture of Laurie Ann Partridge who is her 50's now. In Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania County DOT can every half hour show Kyron Horman alert.

Private companies should sponsor schools

Private industry should sponsor public school facilities.  It allows business to spread their message to the community.  It also allow the business to make an investment to help with the success of school children.  Business could also sponsor schools by allowing their employees to volunteer at them.  Corporate sponsorship of a school actually cuts down on the cost of a school to the taxpayer.  Most corporation can write it off in there taxes and it does a business good to sponsor a school. Good job Tacoma Public School in allowing advertising to keep the Middle School Sports programs.  Help North Kitsap residents tell the school board to let the private sector sponsor them.

Salmon should always be protected in any flood protection plan

You should always protect salmon spawning, stream and habitat for salmon in any flood recovery plan.  As a boy growing up in the Snoqualmie Valley I can tell that there is less salmon swimming in the Snoqualmie Valley now then back in 1970's and 1980's when I was growing.  This has nothing to do with massive growth spurt the region has had since 1987 when I moved out of there.  FEMA has not been there when to help flood control in the past.  Normally I do not agree with environmentalist on most issue but salmon should be in any flood management plan.  Remember this environment we have comes from god and we need to take care it and appreciate it.

Servers, bartenders and grocery clerks need to be held responsible

Servers, bartenders and grocery clerks need to be held responsible if a drunk driver commits an assault or murder with their automobile.  If you change the automobile to a gun if a drunk driver murder a person it should be 10 years per murder.  If an assault like a major injury then major time.  There also should be a charge to servers, bartender and grocery clerks if it has been found out they did not check persons identification or refuse the sale if they looked intoxicated.  Servers and grocery clerks the law protects you from getting terminated if you refuse a sale if the customer slurs their words or eyes are blood shot or starts smelling like alcohol.  This would not apply in Milwaukee since that is the beer making capital of the world.  Here is some advice to the Milwaukee beer worker take a shower then buy your beer so you do not smell like your work.  County commissions, borough assembly and city councils please when a bar or liquor establishments make sure when you approve your liquor license make sure its about 1/2 a mile from a church, school and a public park.  However, I wonder if we have a bar on the floor of the Washington State Legislature in Olympia require all lawmakers to drink Roslyn Beer and a bar in the Alaska State Legislature in Juneau and require them to drink Alaskan Amber would it actually improve their thinking before they vote to tax people.

Centers of Anchorage Prostitution

Spenard Motel located at 3960 Spenard Road.

Please call your assembly and request these places be shut down and have the Anchorage Police Department shut these businesses down. If you engage in this activity please move to Nevada.

Recently on January 22, 2013 the owners of the Inlet Inn have decided to close it this will improve the downtown crime situation and stop the prostitution in Downtown Anchorage

Please support State Rep Scott Kawasaki's proposal to create medicine and law schools in Alaska

Monday, December 27th, 2010 Alaska State Representative Scott Kawasaki a Democrat from Fairbanks has proposed legislation to create Medicine and Law Schools in Alaska from the University of Alaska.  It is very important is doctors and lawyers could be taught here in Alaska instead of having to go outside.  Yes, I know the University of Washington has a great medical school and Gonzaga University has a great lawyer program.  If Alaskan has chance to stay in Alaska why not do that.  It is less expensive for an Alaskan to stay home to go to my home state for education.  Way to go Representative Scott Kawasaki please contact your state legislature and tell them to support this legislation.

No new prison for Raymond and McCleary

It gets interesting that the Washington State Department of Corrections has decided that we need another prison when they want to close the most secure prison in the country McNeil Island because it is harder to get to.  They are proposing a new prison in Raymond and McCleary.  This a bad idea especially in McCleary where we have an unsolved child abduction case called the Lindsey Baum case.  The last thing we need to have more sex offenders nearby harming the children of McCleary and Raymond.  Please tell your legislature, local officials and Washington State Department of Corrections to keep McNeil Island prison open.  If the Washington State Department of Corrections wants to close the prison instead of doing that have the Homeland Security Department buy from the state at face value they can use to bring the Guantamano Bay detainees over until they have their civilian trial that constitution says they should not have.  Tacoma and Lakewood have room for lawyers who are members of the American Lunatics Communist Union.

Spokane needs to have more frequent apartment building inspections

Around Christmas Week, 2010 there was a fire in one Downtown Spokane apartment building which had not been inspected by local officials for a long time.  This apartment complex was at 123 N Bernard Street between Riverside and Spokane Falls Blvd on Bernard Street near the Suki Yuki Inn.  I also used to work at the opera house and convention center a couple of blocks away from 1992-1995.  My friend Mary also used to live in that building in 1994 who lives in Wenatchee now. Spokane needs to have it building code enforcement inspect these older apartment building to make sure people are safe.  This guy who died may have not have a safe way since a lot of these old apartment building do not have elevators and are not safe for those that handicap and elderly.  Current Spokane apartment codes do not make sure that old building have to safe for residents inside.  I also used to live in the Merlin Apartments from 1992-1994 located at 29 W 2nd Avenue.  This is now more of shelter for people when I last saw this building back in 2008 during my visit there.  Please call the Spokane City Council and say you want more code enforcement of apartments in older buildings.

Local governments do not need to fund school lunches and meals

Schools districts should have the option not to serve breakfast and lunch. It is the parents responsibility to feed children not the school districts. You imagine the cost of a new school would go down if a cafeteria is not in the school. Children could eat in their classroom with a brown bag lunch from their parents. Kudos to Colorado for no longer funding free breakfast.

Let's make illegal to have paid signature collectors in the State of Washington

Here is an idea socialist legislature lets make it illegal to gather signatures by paid signature gathers. They must be volunteers then they can put there heart into the issues versus having to paid on what to think.  Paid signature gathering invites signature fraud because most organizers will pay per signatures.  Real democracy involves volunteers imagine the founding fathers if they were paid to fight for our freedom.  A true signature gathering volunteers for it not gets paid.  I refuse to apply for these types of jobs.  Ballot access for initiatives should be done by volunteers not special interest that is democracy.  Please legislature support outlawing paid signature gathering.

Wisconsin governor supports higher electricity rates for customers

Wisconsin governor Scott Walker supports higher electricity rates by making it harder for Wind Farms to operate. Wind Farms save money on peoples electric bills. More natural the source the cheaper the price. Please tell Governor to leave Wind Farms alone. People complain these Wind Farms are not attractive you do not looking at then move.

Every transit agency should be like Milwaukee Transit fine unruly passengers

Every transit agency should be Milwaukee Transit when a rider acts up they fine them $500 for disorderly conduct like swearing at a driver or a passenger. Most drivers unless they refused to leave or get violent just kick the passenger off that is it. Imagine if Spokane Transit, King County Metro Transit, Sound Transit and Anchorage People Mover had the authority to fine unruly passengers. It would improve the quality of service of these bus systems.

Downtown Seattle customers parking fees will be paying for parking in other neighborhoods

Seattle Premier McGinn and the Marxist City Council would make Downtown Seattle customers more than other neighborhoods. The message this council is saying use the bus or take a cab or walk or ride your bike. This city is slowly becoming like New York City. Making it harder to drive a car in. Just because Premier McGinn bikes to work does not mean everybody else has to. He lives in the Phinney Ridge area where my Grandma lived from 1976-1995

Lets protect the grizzly bear by killing North Idaho industry

Recently the US Forest Service has decided that we need to restrict motor vehicle access to save the grizzly bear.  Let's kill the local North Idaho economy to save some grizzlies.  Come on let's quit listening to the moron environmentalist who are a bunch a socialist and run the Occupy movements.  We need to allow commerce to occur in North Idaho forest and quit killing economies to protect a species.  This reminds me of the killing of Washington and Oregon timber just to protect a stupid bird called the spotted owl.  This caused an economic depression in timber town in Washington State and Olympic Peninsula.  In 1997, Pend Oreille County had to seek an exemption to the Washington State Public Assistance Act due to bad economy their.

America's Most Wanted and Miami-Dade County Police are looking for Danny Perez killer

This case really makes my blood boil.  As a former Special Olympics participant from 1981-1983 from the Snoqualmie Valley, Washington team growing up until the Snoqualmie Valley School no longer funded it after 1984.  I do not know if they resume funding it or not.  Miami-Dade County Police and America's Most Wanted are working for the moron that killed Danny Perez.  Danny may have had a disability that is not a reason to kill somebody.  He was shot on March 12, 2010 at point blank range while riding his bicycle in a Miami neighborhood around NW 79th Street and NW 22nd Ave at the intersection where a Shell station, another gas station and a supermarket is around 11:30pm approximately due to Miami-Dade 911.  There is an $8,000 reward.  If you were in the area or know who murder this nice awesome person please call the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477) or call the America's Most Wanted call center at 1-800-CRIME-TV you can always remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if your lead become an arrest of this slimball.  For more info on this case go to http://www.justicefordannyperez.com.

Here is an idea Spokane and Anchorage neighborhood taxi stands

Hey Spokane and Anchorage here is an idea from the Communist city of Seattle.  I usually do not agree with Premiere McGinn of Seattle.  This neighborhood idea might actually save lives.  Imagine bars on North Division Street in Spokane or in the Spokane Valley or bars in the Muldoon area of Anchorage and Spenard having their own taxi stands.  The cost of this none to taxpayer.  Many bars would love to make their parking lots available for this service.  In Anchorage and Spokane many hotels can also partake in this have their patrons go to and from a hotel safely.  In Anchorage, Easy Park could make all of their spaces available for free parking as well as the Bus Transit Center.  You could also run People Mover til 3am to pick up the overflow of passengers.  This also reduces the drunk driving rate in both cities.  Right on Seattle you get kudos on this.  Thanks University District KOMO for putting out the story here.

Hey Washington State Counties the State is not responsible for funding your county fair

Hey Washington State Counties the state is not your county fair. You should fund your own fair. If a small county can not fund their own county fair then combine with another county have regional fairs or have it combined with a city festival. King County could have theirs combined with an Enumclaw festival. Who says each county has to have it's own fair.

Hey Washington State legislators want to save more lives on Washington State Interstates

Do you want to save more lives on Washington State Freeway in the 2012 short legislative session coming up in January.  Please call the legislative hotline at 1-800-562-6000 or e-mail your local legislature.  Currently first responders can not put up barricades on the Interstate to safely save a motorist on the freeway.  Please call your legislature and allow first responders to set up barricades and have to wait for the Washington State Patrol to set up the barricade.  Example in Kittitas County if the accident happens from mile marker 50 to 95 on Interstate 90 since the nearest trooper station is either in Ellensburg or North Bend on the west side of the Cascades.  To safely get the victim to the hospital the victim may have to wait for the Washington State Patrol to put up a barricade to get the victim to the hospital.  That could make the difference the victim staying alive or arriving at the hospital dead on arrival at either Kittitas County Hospital in Ellensburg or the Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah or a Seattle area metro hospital.

Thank you Alaska US Senator Mark Begich for helping us with Lake Otis and Tudor

In 2003 Mark Begich became mayor of Anchorage.  He also owned the land on the east side of the Lake Otis and Tudor Intersection.  Now this intersection could have never had the traffic problems resolved until current US Senator Mark Begich sold the land he owned at a good rate to complete the project.  The Alaska State DOT also added some artwork to make the work real nice.  Again Anchorage commuters thank you for help make a troubled intersection better.

Alaska's department heads needs to accountable to the people

Alaska's department heads need to be held accountable to the people.  The best way for Alaska to do that is to be like most states.  Have the following departments have their department heads elected by the people.  This will require a ballot measure.  The legislature should never be involved in a changing Alaska's constitution.  Only citizens with the measure process.  The following heads need to be elected instead of appointed.  Secretary of State this would State Corporations, State Seal and Elections.  Lt. Governor should only supervise the legislature.  Attorney General should be elected.  This allow the state attorney to be an independent not accountable to the governor.  This also can help Alaska be more consumer friendly.  Superintendent of Alaska's Education this will allow the education chief to be accountable to the people not the governor's agenda.  Auditor this person will make sure state tax dollars are spent wisely and properly.  Commissioner of Public Lands this will give accountability to the people not bureaucrats in controlling Alaska's Fish and Game.  Having high elected department puts more accountability on public officials.  Please support more accountability by electing high department heads instead of appointing them.

Idaho's governor wants to continue state control of the liquor industry

Idaho governor Butch Otter believes the state can do a better job selling you liquor than a citizen. Plus this will give people more opportunities and places to purchase alcohol. The people of Idaho and myself supported you to save tax dollars and allow more freedoms to Idahoans. Keep your promise Butch allow privatization of Idaho state run liquor stores.

Students should not be socially promoted to the next grade

Public school students should not be socially promoted. If student does meet the standards then for the benefit of the child you have them repeat the grade. If they end up repeating the same three or more times then they need to attend a special school. We also need to end standardized testing. These tests do not benefit the students only the administrators, politicians and teacher unions. We are not preparing our students for the future with social promotion it does not prepare the student for college or the real world by doing this. We need not all students will be Rhodes scholars and prepare some for a trade.

If you would like to save a great outlet to helping Spokane's homeless

My friend Marty McKinney who runs Truth Ministries in Spokane needs donations of money, clothing and basic items.  You can drop off your donations at their location at 1910 E Sprague Ave at the corner of East Sprague Avenue and South Magnolia Street in East Central Spokane.  He and I nearly twenty years ago used to volunteer at City Gate Fellowship together in Downtown Spokane.  You can call them at (509) 456-2576 or e-mail them at truthmartyjulie@yahoo.com.  They help the homeless in Spokane and also provide a positive spiritual environment.

Seattle taxpayers money would be better spend without transportation advocate on payroll

Again Seattle's Premier Mike McGinn has once again decided to waste taxpayers buddies by hiring one of his bicycle buddies. You that $87,000 a year would be better spent creating either Downtown Seattle free parking space or creating a park. Even though this is not Communist Seattle's behavior how about return it to the taxpayer.

Anchorage needs a tougher law on alcohol sales to include bars

Last Tuesday May 24, 2011 the Anchorage Assembly approved an ordinance making that all liquor stores must request identification from patrons. The law did not go as far as the voters intended to have restaurant and bars request identification from customers. The Anchorage Cabaret, Hotel, Restaurant and Retailers objected to mandatory identification checks and do not care about the customers which is not a surprise when in 2010 they chose to no longer use taxis for their off the road instead use limos which is more expensive to the taxpayer. They also strong armed the assembly to water down the ordinance. Please your assembly you want the law tougher.

Is a Bremerton cab driver a serial killer

Bremerton Police, Kitsap County Sheriff and Washington's Most Wanted are looking for who murdered people in Downtown Bremerton.

First murder was named Sara Burke which happened on May 3rd, 2011 at about 9:30pm on a Downtown Bremerton sidewalk at 8th and Warren Street. This woman was a native of Pocatello, Idaho was 19 years old at the time of the murder.

Second victim was Kenny Cobb was on June 20th who was stabbed and survived

Most recent victim name is Melody Brannon who is 61 years of age which happened at 1300 Block of High Avenue near Bremerton High School.

If you witness these downtown murders take place during that time on a Downtown Bremerton street then call either the Bremerton Police department at (360) 473-5481 or you can call and remain anonymous at Puget Sound Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The Bremerton community would thank you and throw this creep in jail.

According to my friends at KIRO TV 7 in Seattle their is now a $10,000 reward in the case

If a federal agency makes a mistake then they should forgive the amount owed

If a federal employees make a mistake and the person receiving the services did not give them misinformation then. The agency needs to forgive the amount owed. If a private business makes an accounting error that is in the customers favor and charges a customer less than what it actually cost the company. The business can not go back to the customer and say well you that job we did for you. We charged you less than what it cost we need to charge you more after the job is completed already. If the agency miscalculated or made a mistake in approving a claim they were not supposed to. Then the agency must eat that mistake then learn not to do it again. They can not make the claimant pay for their mistake. This also goes for county, borough, city and state agencies as well. The government makes a mistake then the government pays the exception is if the claimant did not provide accurate information or lied. Then the claimant must pay it back because that is fraud when you lie about a situation. If the claimant uses the money not for the purpose of the government loan then they must pay it back with interest.

Alaska's organized boroughs should be required to form their own police Department

All of Alaska's organized boroughs do not have their own police protection. They must contract with the Alaska State Troopers to provide police protection outside of an incorporated city. Only Anchorage, Juneau and Sitka have borough wide protection due to charters. Boroughs such as the Kenai Peninsula and Matanuska Susitna Borough should be required to form their own police force. This will allowed residents outside of cities like Kenai, Homer, Seward, Soldotna, Wasilla and Palmer better police protection. This also frees up resources from the Alaska State Troopers they should only be patrolling major highways that have a big dipper on them only assist the borough police departments when asked. They also should be patrolling the Alaska Marine Highway and nothing else. This also gets the locals more involvement with the police protection in their own community. We also need to replace the Village Public Safety officer program with someone who is actually chosen by the village to be the officer. The Alaska villages are more likely to respect their own kind instead an appoint from a community not of their culture and tradition. If this requires a constitutional change in the Alaska State Constitution then that is what we need.

Alaska Native Non profit corporations should be in complete control of government benefits to their tribal members

Back in 1996 I received a letter from the late Alaska US Senator Ted Stevens.  He suggested that Alaska Native non profit corporations should administer all government benefits.  Most US Senators have decided that tribes should not be able to administer.  Let's honor the late Alaska US Senator Ted Stevens and adopt this idea.  They can include the government assistance with the tribal shareholder payouts.  Alaskan native people can better decide what their members then some bureaucrat in Washington, DC. Please call your US Senator and say you want the Ted Stevens Alaska Native Benefits Responsibility act.  The government benefits would only go to the 13 regional Alaska Native Corporations who would decide to administer them themselves or would delegate that to native corporations in their jurisdiction.

Example I have a Alaskan native father figure who is a shareholder of Akhiok-Kaguyak Incorporated how his regional native corporation is Koniag.  Koniag has contracted the Kodiak Area Native Association to deal with Kodiak Island tribal benefits.  He would go to Kodiak Area Native Association to apply for government benefits.  This will allow Alaska tribes to dictate the social welfare needs of their people.

Municipalities need to be like Singapore and fine jaywalkers harshly

Here is a picture of someone riding a bicycle on Benson Blvd in Midtown Anchorage that is not an authorized crossing.

City Councils, Borough Assemblies, County commissioners need to make fines harsh like in Singapore for jaywalking. Jaywalking for those not familiar with this term. When a person crosses a street at a place not a crosswalk.

Recently here in Anchorage we had a teenager boy who was killed at an unauthorized crossing at Debarr and Patterson. No crosswalk was present at the Intersection. His friend told him not to cross. He ignored his friends warning. No traffic signal would have prevented this tragedy. Please do not suggest one or I will stand up and suggest a traffic circle to end this debate.

Here is how you can do the following to penalize jaywalkers.

First offense can be a written or a verbal warning can be at the discretion of the officer.

Second offense $500 this is what they do in Singapore. Jaywalking has dropped dramatically. They also cane their citizens. I do not suggest this.

Driving with your headlights on your headlights on all the time increase the awareness of vehicle regardless of season.

Alaskans have a tendency not to drive with headlights on in the summer due to long daylight. This will increase your visibility for other vehicles to see you and pedestrians know you are coming.

Moral of this article is even if it is an easier to cross a busy street does not mean it is right. Plus most insurance when they find that you cross the street unmarked crossing. They will deny your claim and you are paying 100 percent of your medical bill this includes if you are a client of Medicare and Medicaid. These taxpayer funded things like Medicare and Medicaid are insurance companies they do deny claims. Something your caseworker will not tell you.

Currently here in Alaska, Oregon and home state of Washington there is no penalty for jaywalking. Police have no authority to issue a ticket unless a jurisdiction has it on the books.

Where is Roxanne Paltauf?

Here is a picture of the McDonald's on Debarr Rd in East Anchorage

Hey Pike Place Market executives in Seattle. Starbucks the most successful coffee place in America needs to purchase McDonald's. These two great business should be in one corporation. The people of McDonald's can teach the Starbucks to make fries and Starbucks can teach the workers how to make coffee. Plus your competitor Seattle's Best Coffee needs to go out of business. The workers would dress in Starbucks attire. Please Starbucks pay attention to this blog and do this idea thank you the American fast food customer.

Make Spenard Road in Anchorage a historical district like Snoqualmie did to its Downtown

Here is a picture of Spenard Road in Anchorage at 27th Avenue.

The way to preserve Anchorage's Spenard Road is to make it a historical district. Since it was the first major road in Anchorage. This will allow for federal funds to help preserve the beauty of the Spenard neighborhood is for. Please do not change the way the road looks it takes away the uniqueness of the neighborhood. Tell your leaders no changes to Spenard Road is a good thing.

We need more Veterans Adminstration clinics in Rural America

Please tell your US congressman or US Senator we need more Veterans Administration clinics in rural America. Here in Bush Alaska many VA clients have to travel to Fairbanks and Anchorage for service. We need to have VA clinic or contracted doctors in Bethel, Nome, Kotzebue, Barrow, Unalaska, Kodiak, Sitka, Ketchikan and Juneau. This will help our veterans in Rural Alaska. I want to Congratulate Washington Senior US Senator Patty Murray for putting VA clinic in Wenatchee, Walla Walla and other communities in Washington State. We owe it to our veterans to give them the services closer to where the veteran lives. To help North Idaho residents we also need a VA clinic in Coeur d'Alene.
