Expect Tsunami Warnings in Coastal Alaska due to aftershocks from the Kamchatka Peninsula Quake


 Since July 29th, 2025 when a Tsunami happened near the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia this will continue to produce Tsunami Warnings in Coastal Alaska.  Places like the Aleutian Islands, Sand Point, Alaska Peninsula, Southern Kenai Peninsula, Kodiak Island and Prince William Sound.  

 

Historically the last major quake to hit South Central Alaska was March 27, 1964 which was 9.2 near Seward which caused damaged in Valdez, Seward and in Anchorage.
