If a federal agency makes a mistake then they should forgive the amount owed

If a federal employees make a mistake and the person receiving the services did not give them misinformation then. The agency needs to forgive the amount owed. If a private business makes an accounting error that is in the customers favor and charges a customer less than what it actually cost the company. The business can not go back to the customer and say well you that job we did for you. We charged you less than what it cost we need to charge you more after the job is completed already. If the agency miscalculated or made a mistake in approving a claim they were not supposed to. Then the agency must eat that mistake then learn not to do it again. They can not make the claimant pay for their mistake. This also goes for county, borough, city and state agencies as well. The government makes a mistake then the government pays the exception is if the claimant did not provide accurate information or lied. Then the claimant must pay it back because that is fraud when you lie about a situation. If the claimant uses the money not for the purpose of the government loan then they must pay it back with interest.
