Service Industry can already reject ID for alcohol purposes in Alaska

There already laws in place that allow a person in the service industry to reject a person for alcohol purposes.  If the ID is straight up and down and they over 21 years of age they can reject the person based on that alone.  An ID issued must be rectangle form to be excepted.  They can also reject if the person comes more than two in one day according to state law.  If the person acts a certain way which means if they look like they are intoxicated they may refuse to serve according to state.  Recently the Anchorage Assembly has decided to add a law the service industry has already been doing anyways.

Anchorage Downtown Transit Center could have stayed open past four years

Guess what in the past four years the Municipality of Anchorage has made no improvements to the main bus transit center.  They could have kept the doors open.  The leaders Andrew Halcro and Ethan Berkowitz used COVID-19 pandemic as a reason to kept the people out of the transit center.  Then to prevent Dave Bronson a victory as mayor the Anchorage Assembly kept this building closed to the public.  They waited til Princess Suzi became mayor then decide to open it back to the public

THERE IS NO CASE BALLOT TAMPERING BY LEDOUX

While the jury was eating whatever Thanksgiving leftovers they were munching down on could go over the lies of Tuckerman Babcock the or truth and lawful conduct of Gabrielle Ledoux.  They could not come up with an unanimous verdict.  The best idea for the state to honor Gabrielle accomplishments she has done in the state legislature and not continue to pursue the crimes brought by a liar who needs to be investigated for corruption of legislatures to continue to take portions of the peoples money called the Alaska Permanent Fund.

East Anchorage Walgreens closes this Friday

As of this upcoming at the end of day Thursday, December 5, 2024 the Walgreens located at 7600 Debarr Road will close forever here in East Anchorage.  If you do not change your prescriptions they will go automatically be transferred to the 4353 Lake Otis Parkway location at the NE corner of Lake Otis and Tudor location starting December 6th.  This closing will not affect the Wendy's in the parking lot.  Wendy's will continue to serve customers in East Anchorage will give the restaurant temporarily more parking.

The closing will give East Anchorage less options for drug store needs.  If you want to keep your prescriptions in East Anchorage you can transfer your prescriptions to Walmart and Fred Meyer which are not far away.

According to the employees I have talked to no jobs will be lost unless the employee does not want to transfer to other Anchorage locations.  If the employee chooses not to transfer they will part ways with company by Walgreens procedure.  They will be eligible for rehire due to fact that location close and job was eliminated.  Under the State of Alaska are eligible for free job retraining if they choose.

Ted Eischeid speaks the values of East Anchorage

Ted Eischeid reminds me of a Gabrielle Ledoux.  I believe if he is elected he will actually listen to his district before he makes a vote decision.  This is what Gabrielle Ledoux did when representing his district.
My recommendation vote for Ted because he represent East Anchorage First

Had to make some hard decisions today regarding voting here in Alaska

Today, Election Day 2024 I had a difficult decision at a Alaska Republican Precinct Committee Captain of AK Precinct 21-715 I decided to vote for Mary Peltola for 1st choice and since I refuse to rank my party's choice candidate Nick Begich 2nd choice.  I decided to rank my cat Jasper Yakanak 2nd choice as a write in.

My 2nd choice for Congress Jasper Yakanak

I decided to vote for Donna Mears as my first choice as state representative and support her reelection as my first choice and do a write in vote for my 2nd choice is Winnie Yakanak my youngest cat for state house here in District 21 which were this blog is located in a trailer park.

Dan Fagan is the Rush Limbaugh of Alaska

I have known of Dan's presence in Alaska politics when I returned back to Alaska in 1998 when I watched him on KTUU Channel 2 reporting Alaska politics after spending the previous ten years back in my home state of Washington.  He would tell you what really happened in Juneau.  He was also the publisher of the Alaska Standard then I would listen to him on KFQD when I was dispatching cabs in Anchorage.  KFQD terminated him after he refused to stop talking bad about Lisa Murkowski.  This guy smells a rhino and will call you out on your bad character.  Glen Biegel decided to hire him at KBYR around 2011 where you could watch his show on Fox Alaska which was sponsored by McDonald's.  He knows how to ask real questions to people and his nonsense approach to works very well with guest.  One of his frequent guest was Charisee Millette who was defeated by a rhino Josh Revak in 2018. I am glad that Josh did not make the top four to replace the late great Don Young in 2022 when he ran for congress in 2022.

After Rick Rydell left KENI when he applied for a position at Alaska Fish and Game.  KENI hired him for their morning show he would hold the current governor to task.  He continues to tell the truth to residents of South Central Alaska for the next four years.  Recently after he learned of the passing of the late Great Tom Anderson back in March of 2024 .  He approach CBI CEO Tom Steigleman wanting to get back on the radio.  I am glad he is back on the airwaves on KVNT.  I listen to his program every morning since he returned to the airwaves.  I have not called his program since his return.  You can listen to his program on the awesome KVNT on 92.5fm, 1020 am and 104.5fm from 7am to 9am.  By the way to call the program you need to call (907) 802-8812 and leave a message and the call taker will call you back and connect you to him.

I had uploaded three videos two of them are when he was on KBYR in the mornings and you could watch him live on Fox Alaska he broadcasted from their studio on Tudor Road.  The bottom one was when he was on his analysis on the Louisiana Legislature from a local station called KPEL.

If you are a Rhino you do not just get called out by Dan but the author of this blog as well.

The actual mayor of Anchorage

May 14, 2024 voters decided to make Princess Suzi LaFrance the actual mayor of Anchorage.  Here is the truth since Chris Constant a soon to be termed out Assembly person in his Assembly district.  He is the chair of the Anchorage Assembly who actually is really in charge of City Hall.  Suzanne is the figure head who gets the paycheck.  Truth is Chris Constant is the real mayor of Anchorage.  His deputies are Daniel Volland, George Martinez, Karen Bronga, Kameron Perez-Verdia, Anna Brawley, Felix Rivera, Meg Zalatel and Zac Johnson.  Just remember you though you elect Suzanne you actually elect Lord Constant problem to control the city.  Welcome to One Party rule Anchorage.

Princess Suzi will take control of Anchorage at noon on July 1st

Princess Suzi LaFrance won a municipal election for mayor on May 14th against incumbent Dave Bronson to become mayor of Anchorage.  This will also start for one year one party rule in Anchorage. Remember her victory started when she was chair of the Assembly.  She along with most of the members of the Assembly refused to accept ideas from Dave Bronson.  Remember until last Friday, June 28th when SCOTUS struck down Martin vs Boise.  This allows municipalities to regulate public camping on public spaces as they see fit.  The Assembly believed that shelter space should be on the ground instead of a shelter.

Time to single district the Anchorage School Board

Originally written on April 27, 2020

Now that Two for all passed in the Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 municipal election.  We need to put six of the seven Anchorage School Board members in a single district.  One member will be at large and run in 2027 the same time as the mayor.  What we could do have all 7 members of school board run for election in 2026.  Seats A, B and C will run for a two year term this will cover Assembly Districts 1, 2 and 3.  Seats D, E and F will cover Assembly districts 4, 5 and 6.  The will run for a two year term then in 2028 will run for a full three year term.  Seat G  will run A one year term in 2026.  Then in 2027 run additional three year term.  We could also make it so the at large district person is paid more and is also the chair of the school.  This makes so the people choose the chair of the school board not the school board.  Now let's put more accountability in our school board by having them represent the neighborhood instead of having them campaign the whole city for a school board seat.  Have each school member be as neighborly as an Assembly member.

Alaskans are asking Planet Fitness to leave for allowing pedophiles as members

I guess that Alaskans are fed up with this national fitness franchise for not standing up for Alaskan values.  Many Alaskans are canceling their memberships.  This fitness franchise would rather defend pedophiles instead backing Alaskan values.  Alaskans are asking you put an Out of Business sign or sell your locations to someone will uphold Alaskan values.

Special interest bought and paid for the Anchorage School Board

Both Carl Jacobs and Pat Higgins are bought and paid by the Anchorage Education Association.  The Anchorage Education Association does not represent teachers they represent top down administrations.  They refuse to reduce expenses and reduce the school district budget to 75 percent of the municipal budget.  Had they done that the Anchorage School District would be at 150 million dollar surplus instead a 98 million shortfall.  They want children to learn you can switch genders like fish.  Blame White Americans for their non success.  They also defend unqualified superintendent and need to have more administrators.  They refuse to consolidate schools to have efficiency in learning.

It is time to reject these special interest candidates vote for citizen candidates of Kay Schuster and Chelsea Pohland in the April 2nd election for Anchorage School Board Seats E and G.

Anchorage you have a choice between two people for the school board seat F

In Anchorage School Board Seat F is between two registered Democrats they are Dora Wilson and Angela Franks.  As a registered Republican this is where I wish every state had a None of the Above option like in Nevada.  I would select None of the Above option.  In full disclosure I already voted for Angela Frank because I did not receive complete information on this candidate.  You could also skip this race.

Dora Wilson is the current incumbent who believes that we need to continue to the status quo.  She believes that more funding equals better outcomes refuses to reduce the Anchorage School Districts burden on the taxpayer by reducing the budget to 3/4 of the municipal budget.  She continue to do what the Anchorage Education Association instead of listen to the people.  She has voted to continue to fund administrative overhead instead of funnel it to the classroom.

We have a newcomer named Angela Frank a registered Democrat who wants better outcomes for children.  Question is what will she really do on the school board is a mystery.

My recommendation is you choose who fills this seat no endorsement will be made by this blog.

Time to elect Common Sense to the Anchorage School Board

It is time to elect Common Sense to the Anchorage School Board.  One is a family duel Chelsea Pohland and Kay Schuster.  This is a family that cares about Education.  Kay is a Special Education Teacher who actually cares about teachers.  Chelsea wants a future for her kids.  Please vote for common sense by electing Kay and Chelsea against the special interest who do not want your kids to be educated.

Rudest man on the Anchorage School Board

This school board member will confront you if you tell truth about of what the leaders of the Anchorage School Board are really doing with your tax money.  They refuse to listen to teachers, students and parents instead only listen to top down administration.  Last year I suggest that you reduce the Base Student Allocation by 2/3 at an East Anchorage Town Forum due to the fact the Anchorage School District does not fiscally steward the public money to the teachers.  They would rather defend a babysitter for a current Superintendent Jharrett Bryantt instead hiring someone who has experience in Alaska education.  He mentioned we fiscally spend the areas to help students succeed.  Current state representative Donna Mears also defense this babysitter
Teachers could be hired over having a babysitter for an unqualified Superintendent.  He also defends the excessive budget of the Anchorage School District it needs to downsized to 75 percent of the Anchorage Municipal budget.   We need to consolidate Elementary Schools by regions which can be done by the Assembly district.  This consolidation will be explained in a future blog.

If you are tired of the rudeness of Carl Jacobs you can vote for Chelsea Pohland April 2nd for Seat G at the Anchorage School Board  Dave Donley needs allies to defend teachers and kids because Carl does not care what your kids think.   Remember the Anchorage Teachers Associations cares about top down administrations not teachers and students.  Had Carl supported the Donley plan for education the Anchorage School District would be at a 150 million dollar surplus not a 98 million dollar shortfall.

Ellensburg is the newest Creative Art District in the State of Washington

Recently the Washington State Arts Commission have created the newest Creative Art district.  This will allow the to market and show the talents of local Kittitas County artist.  This will also make Downtown Ellensburg very busy every first Friday of the month.  Imagine is business downtown could increase their business now knowing it is a creative arts district.  Ellensburg Public Library could feature a local artist in the hallway each month.  This would also help artist not just in Ellensburg but artist who are students at Central Washington University and could help artist in the Upper Kittitas County market their art in Ellensburg business.

Alaska lost a great communicator on the Alaska's talk airwaves

Saturday, February 10, 2024.  Alaska talk airways lost a very good listener and someone who brought up issues on two radio stations starting in 2011.  He actually started in the evening drive on KOAN 1080 a show called Ethically Speaking.  Then he switched to morning drive in 2013 under CBI Media on KVNT 1020am which he called the Tom Anderson Show until his recent death on Saturday. He also had two other radio shows also on KVNT one was called Tom's World of Science and the other was called Tom's World of Travel.  I did not listen to either of those one hour shows in the evening during the weekday.

He would use local sources like Alaska's News Source, Alaska Public Media, Anchorage Daily News, New York Times and was a fan of this online publication.  He liked my Independent analysis on Alaska issues.  He always treated callers with respect even if he disagreed with them politically.  He interviewed candidates for political office with respect.  I always like his thoughts on issues.  He also respected his stations competition and even mentioned their names even if not on their station.  He also the only radio host who would listen to a flooring store owner named Dalton also known as Super D.

He did inspire Amy Demboski who he mentored to the evening drive to do talk radio on KVNT from 2016-2018 which while she served on the tail end of her Assembly term.  She is currently doing the morning drive on KENI 650 since the beginning of 2023.

He is currently in Alaska talkers heaven with Dick Lobdel, Jr and Herb Shandlin.

Now let's start from the beginning Tom T Anderson was born on August 4, 1967 as a son of Tom R Anderson who was Corporal of the Alaska State Troopers and Catherine.  He graduated from Bartlett High School in Anchorage in 1985.  He received a bachelors associate degree in political science and a masters in public administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage campus.  He also obtained a degree in a college in Minnesota.

His political experience started as a legislative aide for Alaska State Representative Terry Martin while attending college at UAA.  He also served two municipal board commissions which were the Anchorage Parking Authority, Anchorage Power and Light Commission and the Anchorage Board of Appeals and Examiner.  He helped Municipality of Anchorage George Wuerch on his transition team in 2000.  The municipality's only one term mayor to date.

The Anchorage School Board chose him to replace a resigned board member in 2000 who was not retained by voters in Anchorage Municipal election in April 2001.

When I actually met in person  was after I voted at the St Patrick's Catholic Church where he was waiving a sign on the corner of 20th and Muldoon in 2002 General Election.  I mentioned to him you realized you on your opponent turfs right.  I actually voted against him twice which living in his district which was Alaska District 19 which he served his constitutes well.

He served three years in a federal prison work camp in Oregon from 2007-2011 on federal corruption charges.

He was managing partner of Optima Public Relations firm which did political consulting to help candidates to elected to political office.

He actually married three times to three different women they were Janet Hallberg a brief marriage.  Then he married Lesil McGuire in 2005 while they served together in the legislature which lasted five years they are still friends and he had a child Grayson together with her.  He was current married to Lailaine.

He liked to travel and liked Science. His favorite NFL team was the Minnesota Vikings this is probably due to time during his college days.

He was well liked by close friends and easy to get along with.  He also had lots of energy always according to close friends of his.  Please continue to pray for Tom Anderson, his family and the people at Optima Public Relations.  Alaska lots a great man and loved his home state of Alaska.    Governor Dunleavy will eventually sign a statement honoring his service to Alaska.  I hope the Anchorage Assembly will do the same.

I thank Tom Steigleman the CEO of CBI Media and show producer for continue to hold the fort.  I am sure the lord will help him guide the future of KVNT and the other CBI stations under his watch.

Rest in Peace my friend.  I thank Amy Demboski and Mike Pocaro for saying good words about him during their February 12th broadcast.
