Krispy Kreme has finally made it to Alaska

August 30th, 2016 Krispy Kreme has made it to Alaska.  Now you can eat fresh Krispy Kreme donuts that are not a day old because they are baked in a bakery in the Lower 48.  I hear they make donuts like McDonald's make hamburgers 60 years ago.  Come to the corner of Muldoon and Debarr in Anchorage across from Fred Meyer and patronize this business.

Make all Alaska elections vote by mail

Here is the least cost efficient way to make elections smoother in Alaska.  I never thought I would be endorsing this idea after speaking against for 15 years.  Washington State after a very close governors race each county had started to get rid of their polling place with the last polls closed in 2011 by legislative action in Pierce County.  Kittitas County closed their polling places in 2008.  Here in Alaska since each borough only has a county clerk does not deal with state elections.  With a vote by mail since Alaska has party registration system which needs to be scrapped in my opinion.  Government should have no business getting this information or a political party be allowed to close their primary.  We also should have all the candidates on one ballot.  We have raced that decided in the primary that should automatically go to the general election.  Top Two primary system takes care of this.  You mail the correct ballot to the voter the voter mails the ballot to a central Juneau mailbox.

Former County Commissioner Candidate endorses challengers in County's Commissioner races

Susie Weis who came in 3rd place in the August 2nd primary election is frustrated with the current commissioners.  She has decided in the Upper Kittitas County contest to endorse Carl Nelson in the Lower Kittitas County contest has decided to endorse Rob Fraser.  A recent decision the three member of the Super Republican majority has decided to vote in favor buying the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park to expand for use to expand an event center which will not help one citizen in Upper Kittitas County.  Kudos for Susie for standing her ground against this bunch.

Nancy Myers McLaughlin loses her ability to keep her Spokane County Commissioner Seat

In the August 2nd primary election.  Nancy Myers McLaughlin loses her ability to keep her Spokane County Commission seat to Josh Kerns and Candace Mumm.  Nancy did a great job during her brief time as County Commissioner. This is not the first time an appointed commissioner has been defeated in a primary election.  In 1995 in a Special election for the same district.  George Marlin who was appointed was defeated in a special election to John Roskelley.

Snoqualmie Mayor loses bid in state house race

In the August 2nd primary election Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson loses bid for his election to the state house.  Now he can continue to provide great leadership to my hometown of Snoqualmie one of the fastest growing communities in Washington.  Snoqualmie is glad to have him as mayor.

Guatanamo Bay prison should house inmates that help the enemy

President Obama wants to close this prison.  We have a new use for this prison.  Anyone who commits a crime on behalf of a terror organization or help members of this organization should be sentenced here.  There citizenship should be stripped if an American citizen or been naturalized.  They also should have only American patriotic stuff put in their cells.

Give Anchorage Hillside neighborhood a fresh voice in the state house

Anchorage Hillside neighborhood you have a chance to elect a fresh voice to the state house.  Ross Bieling is that person.  He understands budgets will go to Juneau to cut the budget.  State government must understand in lean times you cut the budget.  He does not have an easy battle.  He is battling an experienced former three term maxed out assemblywoman Jennifer Johnston.

Jennifer Johnston is not the conservative she tells you about just ask Amy Demboski.  She will tell you about the real Jennifer.  Jennifer also is not the conservatives friend on issues they care about.  Last year she voted in favor of Bill Evans ordinance that allowed transgender females to use the restroom of their choice. This put genetic girls in fear of their restroom safety.  She also has voted for tax increases usually votes with the Alaska Municipal League recommendation.

Want to keep this seat in conservative hands. Time for fresh eyes you will find that in Ross Bieling.
