Special Education students will suffer under Washington Measure 1351

Recently the Washington Education Association was able to snowball the voters of the state of Washington.  It is interesting that as a result of this measure.  Special education students will suffer because in order to get the class sizes to a reasonable level.  They will have offer less classes for special education students.  Since 2007 Washington State Legislature was put in less funds for special education funding.  Small rural school district just like before 1978 had the option again of refusing special needs students due to not able to have enough space in the schools.  This measure will make it harder for special needs students to receive an education.  Will school districts do before 1981 put all their special needs students in one area of the school district instead of allowing the special needs student to attend the school that is closer to the student.  I remember before the 1981 school year I had to attend Snoqualmie Elementary even though I lived in North Bend.  This measure is a bad deal for special needs students will result in less learning.  School districts will have to pass levies every six months to fund this demand.  Which is interesting unless they change the rules that a school district can pass one levy a year if it successful passes.  Hopefully this measure will be altered in two to allow school districts to be able to not forgot about the special needs students.
