Change of guard at Cle Elum Mayors Office

According to the Northern Kittitas County Tribune fresh of the press today.  Cle Elum mayor transitioned from Charlie Glondo who served from 2003-2015 for three four year term served consecutively.  Now it is Jay McGowan who actually looked like my Dad with a I am sure a Phil Robertson and Si Robertson personality.  You have to funny personality in public service and patience kind of raising children or supervising employees.  However just remember Cle Elum the Mayor and City Council or any government board appointed or elected whether gets a salary or volunteer they serve to listen to you.  There is a procedure they must by their city charter they have.  Unless you are invited as an agenda item or request to be an agenda item.  Usually most municipality have a period where residents can voice their concerns usually average is 3 minutes that average in most towns in America. If you go over the council president or mayor who ever has the gavel. Cle Elum that is the mayor.  This blog congrats Jay McGowan for stepping up to the plate to be mayor he took that job on my 44th birthday last Wednesday on December 30th.  We thank Charlie Glondo for his service.  Last Tuesday, January 5, 2016 while I was giving a hand to Charlie at his business I thanked him for his service and he told me with Jay's experience of 27 years at the Cle Elum City Council meetings.  Each person even they have worked together has different management styles.  Remember the mayor is the chief executive of the city since Cle Elum like most cities has this type of government unless the city choose to have their charter through the voters to have a council-manager type government.  Jay will have a different approach then Charlie and city supervisors will have to get use to it.
