Special Education students will suffer under Washington Measure 1351

Recently the Washington Education Association was able to snowball the voters of the state of Washington.  It is interesting that as a result of this measure.  Special education students will suffer because in order to get the class sizes to a reasonable level.  They will have offer less classes for special education students.  Since 2007 Washington State Legislature was put in less funds for special education funding.  Small rural school district just like before 1978 had the option again of refusing special needs students due to not able to have enough space in the schools.  This measure will make it harder for special needs students to receive an education.  Will school districts do before 1981 put all their special needs students in one area of the school district instead of allowing the special needs student to attend the school that is closer to the student.  I remember before the 1981 school year I had to attend Snoqualmie Elementary even though I lived in North Bend.  This measure is a bad deal for special needs students will result in less learning.  School districts will have to pass levies every six months to fund this demand.  Which is interesting unless they change the rules that a school district can pass one levy a year if it successful passes.  Hopefully this measure will be altered in two to allow school districts to be able to not forgot about the special needs students.

We need a Method of Understanding for the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association

Since we are issuing Method of Understanding we also need one for the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association.  Members must admit that their taxi permits have no value.  They must apologize to the citizens of Anchorage for lying during Assembly testimony, 2008 Election.  They must apologize to Uber Alaska managers for lying during testimony.  They must prove their permits are worth $140K by paying property tax on them.  They can no longer get special access at the Transportation Commission meetings.  They must no longer speak on taxi issues unless they admit there taxicab permits are not theirs they belong to the municipality.  They also need to allow competition to make their industry better.

What must be in the Method of Understanding to Uber Alaska

Last Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 The Anchorage Assembly passed an ordinance stating that Uber Alaska could compete before that happens the Anchorage Transportation Inspector and Municipal Attorney must issue a method of understanding for Uber Alaska to do business.  We also need to make sure no representatives from the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Owners Association are in the room.  The main reason is they want to protect their no value taxi permit that most of their members paid pennies on the dollar for.

In this method of understanding they need to make sure their chauffeurs are licensed, each car is marked so if a car does drives to fast they can be called in and complain.  They must allow the Anchorage Transportation Inspector to check their cars to make sure they are in compliance.  They must scrap their customer rating system.  They must have cameras in the cab.  They need to tell their drivers they must purchase commercial drivers insurance which all taxi drivers do as well.  All drivers must pass a criminal background check.  They must admit they are a taxi service.

Most Anchorage taxicab permits were purchased for pennies on the dollar

Most of the Anchorage permits were purchased before 1994 before the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Association was able to convince the Anchorage Assembly to limit the amount of permits which skyrocketed their permits to 140,000 from actual price of less than $1,000 the price of Anchorage Taxi Permit before 1994.  Another note most Anchorage permit owner did not actually obtain their permits by buying instead most inherited them or was given to them as gifts.  They also purchased at a reasonable rate.  Remember these permits are not really owned by the permit owner they are actually owned by the municipality.

Anchorage Assembly has allowed Uber Alaska to come into taxi market

Anchorage Assembly has allowed Uber Alaska on Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 at a vote of 8-3 to come into the Anchorage taxi market.  Before this illegal cease and desist order can be lifted.  They have sign a method of understanding with transportation inspector and city attorney.  You need to make sure no one from the Anchorage Taxicab Permit Association is there.  Remember this group wants to keep the quality of taxis down since they want to defend their no valued taxi permits that do not belong to them.  Remember that competition makes an industry better.

Stockton PE teacher needs to be fired not protected by a powerful teacher union

This Stockton PE Needs to be fired not protected by the California Education Association.  As you can see this teacher dragged this student into the pool instead of giving her an F for the assignment.  This student had her hair done.  She was dressed to participate to swim.  This teacher was put on paid administrative leave because a union tells the school district this is the policy.  This teacher was assaulting a student.  Instead of unions protecting their employees they should demand this teacher be fired from the Stockton School District instead.

Alaska Congressman Don Young or US Senator Lisa Murkowski Mark Begich is coming for you in 2016

Recently in 2014 Midterm Election Mark Begich was defeated by a former Attorney General Dan Sullivan who is more native than he was.  Now the Campaign of 2016 has begun.  Mark Begich is looking to return to either to congress and face Don Young which in 2007 he was recommended to run against instead of Ted Stevens.  He could go after Lisa Murkowski.  Either way the Alaska Bush will be divided and the race will be a toss up the minute he enters the race.  Alaska will have to get used to big numbers in the race for federal and statewide offices.
